If you know the other one, lay it down. I’m tired of tdn whipping my rear.
I have no clue at all on the other one. I usually avoid Bette Midler films, so if she’s in a starring role there are better odds that I’ve not seen it.
I want to say it’s Down and Out in Beverly Hills. But I like to confirm with tdn just to make sure.
Bette had a small part in either Get Shorty or LA Confidential…i think. I can’t remember which…but I don’t know if that would count for the game…kind of like using Val Kilmer for True Romance. I don’t think she was credited, whichever one it was.
They were both in Get Shorty.
Works for me. I just said appears in two or more movies together.
By all rights, it’s still tdn’s turn but I’ll add another one just to keep the ball rolling.
Robert Redford and
Paul Newman
Good enough. Rock on.
No one here has seen Drowning Mona?
**The Sting
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid**
Let’s visit a classic genre …
**James Spader
Andrew Mcarthy**
Sheesh, what genre is that?
Pretty in Pink and Mannequin
Aside to Tdn: I’ve not only not seen Drowning Mona but even after the name is mentioned I don’t really recall it. I’ll have to look it up.
I’m having trouble coming up with another one that’s not too easy.
OK maybe ‘genre’ was too grand a word for ‘eighties teenage angst’.
Okay, got one. How about the ultraliberal Hollywood couple, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins?
Bull Durham was obvious, but it took me a while to remember that Susan Sarandon appeared as herself in The Player.
All righty… let’s try Kevin Costner and Sean Connery.
Well, I think that they were both in the truly awful Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. And I know they were both in The Untouchables.
Samuel L. Jackson and Uma Thurman
**Pulp Fiction
Kill Bill vol. 2**
You know I find the answers easier than the questions.
William H Macey
Toby Maguire
Seabiscuit
Pleasantville
Good one!
Joseph Fiennes
Geoffrey Rush
Why thank you kind sir
Shakespeare in Love
and was young Joseph in Quills ?
Nnnnnnnnope!.
That would be The Cradle Will Rock
I can only think of one other Joseph ‘giraffe neck’ Fiennes film so I’ll have to go for Elizabeth as a wild stab in the dark even tho’ I haven’t seen it for ages and have no idea if Geoffry Rush was in it.
