Inspired by the pillowcase orientation poll, I’m wondering what sort of pillows people are stuffing into their cases.
So what’s your favorite kind of pillow(s)? Poll is multiple choice for benefit of the poly-pillow-amorous.

Fiberfill all the way. I’m a side sleeper, so I have two pillows - one very firm, and a slightly softer but still firmish one on top.
I can’t stand feather pillows. They flatten out too much while I sleep, and don’t give me the firm support I need. Plus they always end up lumpy and pokey sooner or later. The foam and/or formed pillows are too firm, and don’t mold to my body enough for me.
I bring my pillows from home if I’m spending more than a single night somewhere. The wrong pillows or not enough of them just make my neck, shoulders and back ache somethin’ fierce.
Bleh, I had a great post lined up, then found that WhyNot had posted it!
So yeah, what WhyNot said.
+1 or whatever. and shit.
I have 4 pillows on my side of the bed. 2 Fibrefill that I replace a couple times a year and two silk filled pillows. I have a feather allergy that I have recently discovered has become much more mild, but still no down in my bedroom.
I love both the silk filled pillows and silk filled duvet, they’re both light and comfortable.
My pillow is ergonomically designed. I’ve had two of them so far, and they’ve both lasted me several years (I had the first all through high school and college). In between I had a succession of supposedly extra firm pillows meant for us side sleepers. I went through 2-3 a year because they’d always always always become too flat. Unfortunately, ergonomically designed pillow #2 is heading towards the end of its useful life too now that I’ve had it a few years, and the drug/medical supply store I bought it at no longer carries them So now I’m looking for a replacement…and I know that memory foam is right out, and that it’s possible to buy an unacceptable ergonomically designed pillow via the internet.
Anyone like the pillows with the water insert? Sounds like a good idea, I’m just wondering how sloshy-sounding they are. Then there are the gel insert ones like this.
