Fluffy or Flat Pillow

This applies to my wife and I. It also applies to my family and my wife’s family.

The men tend to like flat pillows, and the women tend to like fluffy pillows. Some of the women even sleep with multiple pillows.

How about you? Identify yourself as male or female, and which type of pillow you prefer.

Things are random only insofar as we don’t understand them.

Interesting take on this topic. I’m a female, and I sleep with an enormous kingsize fluffy pillow AND a flat standard size pillow. I’m terrified to think what this may mean??

Is it softened by the fact, I also sleep with a white, stuffed bear named Ricky??
Nah, I didn’t think so, just thought I’d throw it in there for effect!!

I’m female, and I sleep with one firm, flat pillow, when I use one at all. My (male) SO sleeps with as many big fluffy pillows as he can find.

I have to have a LOT of pillows, and I don’t like the fluffy ones that squash down to an inch thick when you put your head on them… I need HEIGHT. I sometimes sleep with pillows off the sofa in addition to 2 or 3 regular pillows.

My pillows suck, and I’m too poor to get new ones. Dammit. If I had my drothers, I’d do two flat pillows on top of each other. I also sleep with a teddy bear named Chubby. And I have two X Chromosomes.

Hmmm. Very interesting topic. Oddly enough, I used to sleep with lots of fluffy pillows, but lately have been sleeping on a fairly flat pillow. My hubby prefers a very firm, 5-6" thick pillow. I am currently sleeping on one pillow for my head, his pillow on one side of me<so I don’t fall of the bed looking for him in my sleep, if you must know> and my huge, 4’ long, with extra stuffing I added, body pillow that I cuddle up to on the other. There are also one or more teddy bears in bed with me, not to mention my kitty, Heather. The puppy, thank goodness, prefers to sleep with my daughter for now. And, if any of you don’t know yet, my hubby is currently in UAE,hence the extra stuff in bed with me at the moment.

Male, fluffy, minimum of two.

Fluffy, but with some sping. I like to be able to sleep on my side with my head completely supported. I don’t have to have multiple pillows, but somehow I’ve ended up with five on my bed. They breed like bunnies.

I also have a woven throw that I like to wrap around my shoulders for extra warmth. Not quite a security blanket, but close.

I’ve been sleeping on my son’s Eeyore pillow. For some reason it started out as a comfy TV watching pillow, then when he got a big Blue’s Clues pillow from Grandma, he forgot about Eeyore. I don’t require a lot of those normal bedroom pillows to sleep good after spending so much time in the military and learning to sleep just about anywhere. The Eeyore pillow is just the right amount of comfort even though I have to endure the derisive looks from Mrs. Bluepony.

Something with neck support. I get horrendous neck cramps and tension headaches otherwise (one memorable occasion I couldn’t turn my head to the right for three days).

“Excuse me, are you reading Torah and eating crayons?”

When little, I used to put a teeny pillow over my neck to protect against the vampires…but nowadays I don’t use Any pillows.I’m female.

So orangecakes, what are you doing now to protect against the vampires???
Me, I sleep with two pillows, one flat and one fluffy feather pillow. (Male, here, last time I checked.)

I’m a guy. I sleep with one flat pillow (for height) and a soft fluffy on top of it (for support) and occasionally have to flip the top pillow when it gets too hot (the other side is cooler hense the saying “cooler than the other side of the pillow”)…anyone else have this weird habit?

you got to have 2 fucking flat pillows, fuck that fluffy shit, I hate when you put your head on one of those and your damn head sinks in, and the sides come up and pratically smother the shit outta you,

sorry about the language, but fluffy pillows piss me off bigtime :frowning:

Male; side sleeper, require 2 pillows, both firm. Otherwise, one gets the dreaded “crick in tha neck” syndrome.

Female, 2 feather (one semi-fluffy, one semi-flat) and one flat cotton batting pillow. Hubby has one very flat, one flat and one down semi-fluffy. Catogorize that, I dare you.

All you need to start an asylum is an empty room and the right kind of people.

Male, 4 pillows, some fluffy, some not.

Male. Two flat pillows. When I read in bed I fold the corner of the top one over and it makes the perfect prop for my head.
