I really don’t think he’s that coherent, but it seems like going to jail is on his mind…….he’s probably seen the process play out enough from the other side to know he’s going down soon.

It’s their core competency.
The message he is putting out is largely correct, I believe:
Graham, in his statement, touted the vaccine, saying that if he wasn’t vaccinated “my symptoms would be far worse.”
“I am very glad I was vaccinated because without vaccination I am certain I would not feel as well as I do now," he said.
Unfortunately, that’s not the message the MAGAsses are likely to come away with. They’re more likely to consider Graham’s infection proof positive that vaccines are ineffective, if not a government plot to inject Og knows what into unsuspecting sheeple’s bodies.
Then they’ll head down to the farm supply store and stock up on horse-grade Ivermectin (none of that namby-pamby human dosage). And maybe take some right off the bat, “just to be on the safe side.”
And wind up in the ER anyway, since horse doses of Invermectin are toxic to humans. Where they will learn that there are no beds available because they’re all full of COVID patients.

That part is correct. Calling it a “breakthrough infection” is not. A breakthrough infection is contracting seriously symptomatic COVID despite being fully vaccinated. Those events are exceedingly rare. Merely testing positive after being vaccinated isn’t all that unusual. It does, however, likely mean that the individual is contagious to the unvaccinated.
I don’t think that’s the way the term is being widely used. If you google “what is a breakthrough infection” the first page (at least) of answers look like this one from the Wall Street Journal:

A breakthrough infection is when someone who received a Covid-19 vaccine contracts the virus more than 14 days after they have been fully vaccinated.
You’re quite right. It appears that the expectation is that a vaccinated person should not test positive after 14 days, and any such positive test – symptomatic or not – is regarded as “breakthrough”. Thanks for the correction.
