Tiffany is an interesting thought but I haven’t read anything to lead me to believe she is likely to have the information about Trump Org that the other kiddos do. From what I know she’s been on the fringe of the family business all along.
For all we know Tiffany may be the biggest of the Big Wheels in the family, having sufficient brains to keep a low profile and keep her mouf shut. None of the others can claim that.
I’d think Melania would be an easy flip. She doesn’t appear to really care much for Donald or his kids or other kids, for that matter.
But she probably doesn’t really know much.
And her pre-nup undoubtedly has provisions make it very expensive. Although a contract can’t force you to break the law, so maybe she could speak (if she knows anything).
Maybe, maybe not. The few times she has been seen to make public statements (at various conservative rallies and such), she’s come across about as bright as you’d expect compared to the other kids. At least dumb enough to be known to have slept around with multiple secret service agents.
Barron is probably the brightest and lowest profile, but he’s also the one his father has had the least influence on. That’s probably no accident. And he wouldn’t know anything anyway.
I also figure on Daddy’s little incest risk. Got the family’s delusionally high self-regard combined with personal ambition.
I still think she genuinely cares for Barron (maybe I’m giving her too much credit) but likely not for the Terrible Trio.
Didn’t Cohen already say that The Shit Gibbon was willing to send Junior to jail to spare the Ice Queen?
I don’t think there’s anyone he’d protect, if push came to shove, other than himself. Trump uber alles.
It is, sure.
But it is one thing for people to have control that want to take the country in a direction that we don’t like, and another that want to destroy it entirely.
That Mazars statement in full:
I think the big question for Mazars would be whether they should accept that they’ve probably got the criminal business market in the bag (minus Trump), thanks to all the exposure due to Trump showing that they’re not big on double-checking the numbers they’re given; or if they need to go through and start double-checking all their other customers, because the Feds might have mentioned to all the employees that there are whistleblower protections and “Hey, here’s my number if you think that we should know something.”
As I noted in another thread, I suspect Trump’s conversations with his accountants are quite similar to those with the Georgia Sec. of State.
But does it go the other way? Would she shy away from throwing Daddy under the bus to save her own skin?
Oh, I think they’re all heartless enough to throw anyone under the bus to save their own neck.
More likely it will drive the criminal business market elsewhere if Mazars is known to have covered for bad actors and drawn the attention of the law, because even reputable businesses don’t want to be assumed to be involved in shady practice and the actually shady ones definitely won’t want the attention.

My CPA never checks my numbers. That’s not their job.
Their job is to take the numbers that I give them and do their magic CPA stuff to make sure that I pay the lowest taxes I legally can.
TBH, I’d actually rather that they did double check my books to make sure I didn’t make any mistakes, but that’s not what they do.

It’s rather like the old joke where a guy was interviewing for an account and rejects them after asking, “How much is two plus two?” and getting the answer, “Four.”
Finally, one guy checks over his shoulder and asks in return, “How much do you want it to be?” He was the one hired.

Oh, I think they’re all heartless enough to throw anyone under the bus to save their own neck.
A pack of dingos with one wounded comes to mind.
Yes. To prepare a tax return or compilation, accountants generally rely on the client’s own numbers. The taxpayer remains responsible for the veracity of the return.
Crooked accountants certainly exist and we will find out if Mazars is one of them after the New York AG reviews the half million documents Mazars just turned over.
It appears that the AG has shown Mazars information that conflicts with data supplied by Trump Org. And Mazars is now doing its fiduciary duty to warn others that the previous statements were based on bullshit Trump numbers.
Typical dropzone pointless aside: Oldest worked for Arthur Anderson’s last physical asset for years. They finally sold it a few years back.

It’s certainly one thing for the accountant to accept the numbers given. It’s another if they help to suggest numbers that will be more favorable.
“I see that you valued this property at $1,250,000. You would save a bunch in taxes if you valued it at $750,000.” sort of thing.
Not saying that that is what they are doing, just that that’s the sort of thing I imagine a crooked accountant would do.
