A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 1)

It’s like finding out that the last words of one of the 9/11 hijackers was “I thought you brought the parachutes!”

Your entire rant: epic and deserving of immortality.

I posted a link to this story in the Capitol Riot Follow Up thread in P&E, but it really deserves a mention here too.

The entire project of attempting to redefine January 6 as 'antifa did it’ has been greatly hampered by the actual words and actions of the Trumpites* who, you know, did it.

*by analogy with the “Deadites” of the Evil Dead series.

The part that I don’t get is this:

So, this guy is making a ruckus on the plane, they go back to the gate and escort him off, and the airline decides to just put him on another flight? Where he’s likely to pull the same shit again? You’d think, at the very least, that Delta would have decided to make him some other airline’s problem.

Many of them did have real weapons tucked in their backpacks. One of the big mistakes of not arresting people at the time of the incident is that had they done so they would have been able to add weapons charges. Maybe not a big deal for those inside the Capitol since they have bigger charges coming, but had they rounded up all those violating curfew they probably would have been able to charge them with more than ‘breaking curfew’.

I would argue these people are right-wingers because they’re so gullible. These are the folks who are still falling for Nigerian prince and other lame email/phone scams, who cheerfully pay exorbitant interest rates for substandard products because the salesman tucked ‘family values’, ‘church’, ‘patriotism’, etc in their sales pitch. It’s this gullibility, with a healthy dose of greed and naivete, that makes them buy into the right-wing scare-mongering BS.

Although I think I’ve seen articles that say RW folks are more susceptible, let’s not pretend that humans in general aren’t susceptible to flattering pitches.

Good thing I didn’t say that then.

Delta decided to get him back by torturing him with hostile customer service.

Heheheheheheh.

I don’t think that was a mistake, so much as situation where it would have been difficult for 200 police to arrest 5,000 people. The police were fighting to simply keep them from attacking and murdering legislators. They did not have command and control of the situation.
So not a “mistake” not to arrest everyone on the spot.

True. Had the police attempted to arrest them during the attacks, we would have seen all those weapons in action and a lot more dead. But a shame it wasn’t an option – felony vs out past curfew, ya know.

That was hard to watch. I think its just a step or two beyond my schadenfreude limit (not that I will judge anyone who did feel a sense of satisfaction). It scary how seriously they take such lies. Hopefully when the country fails to devolve into satanist police state she will feel better about things, but given her likely susceptibility to confirmation bias she may be in for an unpleasant 4-8 years of jumping at shadows.

Odds are she’s lived her entire life in that state of mind. There’s a correlation between pro-authoritarian thinking and being fearful to the point of paranoia.

I always wondered what all those gun fanatics were so afraid of. I guess the answer is “Everything.”

Along with Sidney Powell, Dominion Voting Machines is now suing Rudy Giuliani for $1.3 billion (each). The article indicates they intend to sue others, possibly even Trump. Rudy is also facing removal from the NY State Bar Association and loss of his law license.

I hope that fucker is buried so deep in lawsuits for the rest of his life that he will never see daylight again. Of course, it would be great if he goes to jail as well.

Sorry…which fucker?

There are so many potential choices, but I’m assuming from context this particular fucker is Rudy.
