Well, you’d hope so.
But with today’s ultra-right (i.e. Jones’ usual audience)…you never know. This new openly-deranged Alex Jones might become more successful than the old, marginally-sane Alex Jones ever did.
(My bolding in the quote.)
Bannon to be indicted by the State of NY on Thursday.
Bannon to be indicted
So does this take him out of the pool of prospective Special Masters?
Steve Bannon is expected to surrender Thursday to face New York state charges related to his fundraising effort to build a wall along the southern US border, people familiar with the matter say.
As CNN previously reported, federal prosecutors with the US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York had charged Bannon and three others, alleging they had defrauded donors in the border wall effort, which raised more than $25 million.
Bannon was charged with diverting more than $1 million to pay an alleged co-conspirator and cover hundreds of thousands of dollars in personal expenses. Prosecutors alleged that the donors, including some in New York, were falsely told that all the money contributed would go toward the construction effort.
Oh, that is sweet.
Think how long Bannon could be busy in court if every state with defrauded donors brought similar charges!
He should live so long…
He should live so long… -
That depends on The Grim Reaper being willing to get that close.
If he croaks before he can settle with all those people he wins!
This is a very close call.
“It’s never a good thing to be indicted in one case when you’re about to be sentenced in another case”
I’m beginning to think if you agree to work for Agent Orange, you should negotiate for lawyer’s fees as part of your employment (gift link to latest round of subpoenas for the lackeys):
A federal grand jury has issued subpoenas seeking information about Save America PAC, which was formed as Donald J. Trump promoted baseless assertions about election fraud.
Among the roughly half-dozen current and former Trump aides in the White House and the 2020 presidential campaign who are said to have received subpoenas this week were Beau Harrison, an aide to Mr. Trump in the White House and in his post-presidency, and William S. Russell, who similarly worked in the West Wing and now for Mr. Trump’s personal office, according to several people familiar with the events.
What this new inquiry is about:
The new subpoenas appeared to have been issued by a different grand jury in Washington than the one that has been gathering evidence about the so-called fake electors plan, which has focused on questions surrounding pro-Trump lawyers like Rudolph W. Giuliani and John Eastman.
At least one of the new subpoenas bore the name of a veteran federal prosecutor in Washington who specializes in fraud cases, suggesting that this avenue of inquiry is devoted primarily to examining the spending and fund-raising at Mr. Trump’s super PAC.
More good news. Heheheheh:
"What (Trump's lawsuit) lacks in substance and legal support it seeks to substitute with length, hyperbole, and the settling of scores and grievances," the judge wrote
he really doesn’t do well in court, does he.
He’s never been jailed or held to a devastating financial sanction, so that’s debatable.
He’s always been good out of court, when he can use his deep pockets to bully other parties into dropping claims, or into accepting bullshit “I’ll to a charity using other peoples’ money” settlements. I don’t actually know what his track record is for suits that make it all the way to a judgement of one kind of another.
I’m sure Judge Loose Cannon will reinstate the lawsuit then rule in Trump’s favor. After all, why not? She’s getting pretty good at ruling on things totally out of her jurisdiction.
On Friday, The Daily Beast [reported] that Adam Laxalt, the former Nevada attorney general and Trump-endorsed Senate candidate, is privately complaining to donors and supporters about his inability to raise money against Democratic incumbent Catherine Cortez Masto — and trying to claim that tech companies are conspiring to cut him off from fundraising activity.
I dub thee Captain Wussy Boy!
Five years of grifting finally dried up the MAGA well?
Maybe he didn’t get paid…
Ex-Trump White House lawyer calls him ‘narcissist’ who violated Constitution
Former Trump White House attorney Ty Cobb said there is a "very high" chance Donald Trump will be prosecuted by the Department of Justice.
