No matter how terrible his financial situation, there’s no way in the world he would qualify for a public defender.
This is a civil lawsuit, anyway, not a criminal prosecution.
Chris Christie goes back on the attack on Trump again; only time will tell if - or how soon - he’ll have to backpedal back into Don’s court again.
As for Milo Yiannopolis, who has also been hanging around Ye? Now he’s on an alt-right QVC.
TIL I learned there’s an alt-right QVC.
Remember when Larry Wilmore told him to go f*ck himself?
Shut up and take my money!
The Greatest Moustachioed Person Ever, John Bolton, is heaping on some Trump anti-love.
From a Huff-Po article that at present won’t seem to load:
…and just noticed in a sidebar, from another article that won’t load (USA Today)…
Mr. Musk might be doing the et tu, brute on Trump…
I like how he couched it in a dislike of Biden for his reasoning. Of course Donald would be too blockheaded to see any inference. Then again, after seeing the Ascoted Cravated One’s apparent leaning towards “sensible and centrist”, there could be ketchup issues.
I find it interesting that Musk views DeSantis as “sensible and centrist.” I view him more as “extreme right-wing fascist” myself.
I hope Elon will be soon know as Elon Muskmann-Fried and shown for the right wing Peter Thiel lover he always was. Just wondering how he managed to fool so many people for such a long time. Sensible and centrist, how dare he?
30k foot view it appears that the fascist movement is determined to move from Trump - this 2024 run of his has the feel of epilogue about it. The opposition feels far more coordinated than 2016, and Kanye is offering the VP slot to Trump is nothing but an open insult to the ex-President… one made to his face and in his house.
Everyone except Trump and his base knows that Trump is a loser, and not just a loser, but that he can’t carry MAGA over the finish line in other races. 6 years ago I would have said the best thing Trump could do for his country is die. Now the best thing he can do for his country is… run for President again? Delay the fascist takeover until it runs out of steam?
Well you stated the problem for the GOP and anti-trumpets very clearly when you said “Everyone except Trump and his base knows that Trump is a loser…” To my thinking if the GOP loses even 15-20% of the MAGA crowd they are screwed for the foreseeable future. Most of the MAGA folks were not even voting before Trump ran, were they? I seem to recall hearing things about how most of that bunch weren’t regular voters.
Until the bulk of the MAGA voters pledge allegiance to another candidate I don’t see Trump falling by the wayside. I’ve seen way to many predictions of him being finished in the past to buy it easily this time.
He isn’t going away (unless he dies, of course), but his perceived ability to win elections for national candidates (including himself) is gone.
If he runs for the R’s, they can’t win. If he runs against the R’s, they can’t win.
I’ve said multiple times on the boards the only way he doesn’t run is if he’s dead so we agree on that. I’m pretty sure he has a better than 75% chance of getting the GOP nomination. As much as the party leaders know he is damaged goods they are still scared of losing his base.
Well, if he dies between now and November 2024, a new myth will arise: “President Trump is not dead. Nope, he’s very much alive folks but had to go underground to fool the libs into thinking he’s dead so that they’ll back off and stop their lies. In the meantime, President Trump is staying low and just waiting for the signal!.”
Which makes me think, the only way the R’s have a chance in 2024 is if Trump is defenestrated.
Hell, if he does croak before 2024, the Q folks (and their successors) will be talking about the Return of Trump in the year 2100.
He must be hanging out with JFK Jr.
One of these is true:
He committed tax fraud by falsely claiming a tax break on a primary residence in Texas while lving in Georgia
OR
He committed voter fraud in Georgia by having his primary residence in Texas,
Tax fraud. He’ll repay the taxes, pay any penalties, and this will go away. The man is worth about $35 million, this is an easy problem to solve.
Bribe?
Donald Trump’s oceanfront compound, Florida, USA
The [extravagant beach home] boasted everything from a ballroom, art gallery and 100-foot-long pool to diamond and gold fixtures and a garage with space for 40 cars. Incredibly, the mansion was purchased in 2008 by Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev for the inflated price of $95 million, $54 million more than Trump initially paid for it, despite the property having a serious mold problem
Bolding mine. He paid 41 million over asking price on a property that was not worth the asking price?
Probably closer to loan sharking and/or tax dodging. What purpose is served by bribing Trump in 2008?
