A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 1)

Hart Island made the news recently when they started doing mass burials there due to Covid deaths. So, it also has that going for it.

From the linked Wiki article:

“Those who chose it as a burial place”. WTF?

Well, if it was available for free, there are some folks who would choose that.

I guess some might, but the thought of being buried in trenches, along with nearly another million, makes me think that not many people choose that location but end up there because they didn’t choose.

But, when even a simple cremation costs a couple thousand bucks, maybe some do.

And if Great-Uncle Einar wrote in his will that he’d like a simple funeral and to be buried somewhere he could haunt…

He’d have a lot of company on… [spooky reverb] … The … Islaaaand …

Every episode of Scooby Doo has actually taken place on Hart Island.

That’s what it comes down to, though they don’t necessarily know the details of what they’re choosing. If the next of kin opts for a “public burial”, which is the option for burial to be at governmental expense, that’s the Hart Island option. I know they were under pressure to make it more clear what that entails, and they may have done so.

(Apologies for the hijack. I just wanted to underline the fact that one of Trump’s pet crooks was going to be spending time in a place where manual labor in a horror-movie setting is a vacation.)

I watched a video about a young mother who had a newborn baby that died and they buried it on Hart Island immediately because she has chose the “bury in city cemetery” option (this was a couple decades ago). It took her a long time to realize where that baby had been buried. She learned where here baby ended up because of this site:

Jeez, I thought Colma was macabre.

There are a lot of lovely open grassy cemeteries in Colma, and nothing macabre about the place at all.

That’s why its motto used to be: ‘It’s great to be alive in Colma’

“There is no systemic racism in 'Merica!”

Widespread Voter Fraud!!

It’s where you need to go to pay your respects to Emperor Norton.

You missed the anniversary of his death this year, but his birthday is February 4, if you’re interested in that.

Anytime anyone accuses Republicans of being afraid of hard work, just list the instances of them energetically trying to prove that there’s voter fraud–by committing voter fraud.

It’s an inspiring catalog of purposeful, enthusiastic effort. What an example for the youth of America!!!

Stephen King has nothing on that. Nor Dean Koontz.

I’ve read most of their books, but that news really creeps me out.

I’m awake and fully caffeinated. I almost fell for this but I was able to figure out that this was a fake story because Trump doesn’t care about his supporters, only that they support him biggly.

You misunderstood the story. If his supporters have to pay those fines, then there is less money for them to give to him. That is how you know the story is true.

The fact that it says “The Onion” in the upper left is a hint that there’s the remote possibility that it may not be true. Further research is required to verify this, of course.

Who says satire cannot be prescient?
