A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 1)

To which the response must be “What ‘type’ do you normally rape?”

Yeah, NOT defending the asshole but they do kinda look alike. And it’s been said that he needs reading glasses but won’t wear them.

That is what I like about the Pit, the smell of a burning shot down in the morning. Aaaahhh… (streching…) … good coffeine enhancing stuff this.

The fact that they do look alike is not a defense of trump, it’s proof that his stupid statement that she’s ‘not his type’ is bullshit. Not to mention, as Gyrate points out, trump saying ‘she’s not my type’ implies that there is a ‘type’ he would rape.

Many accused of rape would protest “I would never do that!”. A rich asshole might say something shitty like “why would I rape anybody? I’m rich and have my pick of willing partners”. trump goes below and beyond even that by giving a statement that clearly implies that he might rape someone if she suited him. If, out of all the legal shit he’s mired in, this is what he ultimately goes down for, I’d be good with that.

-coughs-

Well, I may have gone a bit far. I hate being misrepresented, but kept it mostly polite the first time.

When someone doubles down though, it gets my goat. I’m glad those who enjoyed it did, and let’s return to our usually scheduled schadenfreude. The outrage tank (different thread) may be overdrawn, but the schadenfreude is absolutely underfilled. So to help -

Note, it’s mostly about how the person in question was convicted for attempting to lobby Trump to drop investigations into Malaysian financial chicanery with state funds. They were also reported to be one of the many political / financial criminals who were begging for pardons when the CFSG was prepping to leave. The line I enjoyed the most -

However, U.S. District Judge Leslie Kobayashi said she hadn’t shown remorse, having previously attempted to withdraw her guilty plea, and said she must report to the Bureau of Prisons on April 14, according to AP.

Yeah, I know 2 years isn’t much, but every time one of these folks skates by on just fines sticks in my craw.

To be fair (is that allowed in the pit? ), that is kinda like asking “When did you stop beating your wife?”. In saying “She’s not my type.”, he isn’t saying “She’s not the type that I would rape.”, he’s saying “She’s not the type of girl that excites me.”

Well considering the resemblance of the accuser to his former wife, that either means he’s lying, or that his former wife didn’t excite him. Considering he left his first wife for Marla, there must have been something there, so… he’s obviously lying.

Then again, his lips were moving, so he was obviously lying.

Yeah, I thought of that afterwords. Next he’ll probably say, I thought it was my wife (would still be rape though)

Hey, your rant was on target and appropriate. I HATE when people give me shit because they’re not listening to what I’m saying. And then they treat you like you’re a dick for being justifiably pissed off.

-hands over a lozenge and then gets the hell out of ParallelLines’s field of vision-

judge kabayashi??! wow, takes it to a whole 'nother level of “unwinnable”.

Just wait until she marries Jimmy Maru, and changes her last name to Kobayashi-Maru.

It really isn’t, because the original query wasn’t a binary gotcha. There are many ways one can protest that one doesn’t commit rape, but “She’s not my type” is a glaring non-denial.

I’m not saying it’s incriminating, but it ain’t a good look (although that’s true of pretty much everything Trump says).

Sort of like saying “I didn’t take any documents, and I want them back”

Looking at the unsealed deposition from the Carroll case, there’s a beautiful moment in which the attorney questioning Trump indicates in three short words the sum total of fucks given [bolding mine]:

Suing very strongly. What an ass.

The threat of a lawsuit isn’t particularly intimidating when you’re simultaneously demonstrating how terrible your legal team is.

It’s like a guy getting his ass kicked, and as he’s shakily getting up and spitting out a tooth, points to someone else and says, “You’re next!” Before getting knocked on his ass again.

That guy is showing some pluck.

Trump is more like the guy, who after pissing himself in public, angrily shouts “I’m not done!” and proceeds to shit himself.

Good point. My analogy might have been better if the guy didn’t bother to get up, but just pointed at someone and between sobs screamed, “You’re next”.

LOL. Bonus points for the Star Trek reference.

Well, Trump has surely demonstrated how he handles a no-win situation.
