According to everything I’ve read, he’s done plenty of legitimate work, just not the high profile, bat-shit crazy cases. The earlier reporting around the special master fiasco, was saying that he found Trump and the krazykid’s defenses unworkable, and because that, was sidelined to the less glamorous stuff.
Indicates he’s still working on him as of 3ish months ago. So I think he’ll continue to be happy with his money as long as he keeps within the letter of the law and doesn’t put his reputation on the line because he’s forced to repeat non-viable legal strategies.
It also means that if the defendants have to take action to collect, such as putting liens on assets, they can go after whoever the determine has the deepest pocket for the full amount.
At that point, the party that ends up paying the settlement can sue the other parties named in the judgement, but the winner already has their money.
I shudder every time someone mentions the words “Trump” and “relative” in a sentence. So feel free to pick yourself. Personally I think the smartest Trump lawyer is one that quit after the first stupid/illegal request. But that’s apparently a high bar.
Mar a lago is not a private residence. Remember the kerfuffle that occurred when trump decided he would live there. There was a use agreement that he could not live there for 3 consecutive weeks in a year. Trump got around that stating that he was living there as a bona fide employee.
So, based on the outcome of his lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and his decision to withdraw his suit against Letitia James, I’m guessing Trump will not be strongly suing these people after all?
There was a rather infamous case where BofA wrongly foreclosed on a home, then ignored the homeowner’s attempt to collect after the homeowner won their lawsuit.
The judge got pissed enough to issue an order allowing the homeowner to take a moving truck to their local branch bank and take possession of things like computers and furniture.
Although the bank paid up once they realized what was imminent.
They can’t all be gold. And if they are, I’m sure there’d be no lack of volunteers to make them all truly filthy before Custodial Trainee D. Trump began each shift.
