Slap on the wrist? It’s hardly even a “tsk, tsk, tsk” finger wagging. She should be disbarred.
The problem I see here with that is that her likely pool of clients will only see this as more of a “deep state” unfairly punishing her for supporting their hero.
Perhaps, but it also dramatically shrinks her likely pool of clients to just those people.
And might it be possible that some of them will Trump her and gladly pay her Tuesday for a legal case today?
As in: Trump sentenced to prison by May? Are you mad? As much as I’d love to see him imprisoned, Trump will postpone and drag out any charged offense for years. This May? A month and a half from now?
Come on.
Sentencing isn’t the same as serving. The initial trial and sentencing will be followed by various appeals.
This is a state-level crime, right? So appeals can only go up to the state supreme court? This is a good thing, in that there are probably relatively few levels before he runs into the ceiling, and that he doesn’t have much influence in those circles (to mix metaphors into a lovely stew).
I’m sure his crack* team of lawyers will put up a valiant fight.
*pot
Or pipe…
There’s a reason I refer to them as ‘team of crack lawyers.’
In that video clip, Meicelas is predicting an indictment, not later than May. Not sentencing.
You mean the Keystone Kounsels?

I’ve read this in several articles—mainstream places that I can’t recall, so take this cite-less tidbit as you will—that Team Trump will have far less available in terms of delay for state crimes. That was the gist: you want to see Trump n prison ASAP? State crimes are your best bet.
Conversely, the consensus was that Federal crimes were a fat chance for a Trump in his late seventies. He can easily play out the string on those.
None of them were guaranteeing a Trump state prison sentence, FWIW.
An indictment will be the sort of financial, resource, bandwidth, and time drain that Trump won’t be able to dump onto others. It’s a gift to everyone running for President on the GOP side, and even if he gets away with it, i.e. a not guilty verdict, the Lincoln. Project videos of J6 intercut with Trump in a defendants chair will be quite juicy.
But, we will see. My birthday is March 30th, could I be so blessed?

An indictment will be…
… an exoneration!
“The fact that after their intensive investigation the DA is even considering a new political attack is a clear exoneration of President Trump in all areas…”
This is just the tip of the iceberg. And they know it.
Come on Georgia.

“The fact that after their intensive investigation the DA is even considering a new political attack is a clear exoneration of President Trump in all areas…”
That must be some new definition of “exoneration” I am not aware of.

That must be some new definition of “exoneration” I am not aware of.
It’s very simple: the fact that vast amounts of evidence is being presented against Trump is proof that it’s a massive Deep State conspiracy against him. The fact that there is no proof whatsoever of criminality by Biden/Obama/etc just goes to show how deep the conspiracy goes, because they’ve managed to hide all the evidence that WE KNOW must be there.

That must be some new definition of “exoneration” I am not aware of.
I know, right? This must come from the same page of the playbook that dictates that if you present evidence of someone’s racism, that makes you a racist. Seeing that one a lot lately.
