A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 1)

Great - posted seven hours previously in Manhattan DA thread - never fucking mind. Fuck this.

Awesome sport!

I’m glad you posted it here, so that we can talk about it in Pit style.

Now with @JaneDoe42’s update, what would be real schadenfreude is the Republicans having the balls to sue Fox and/or other Election deniers to recover the taxpayer money invested in all the investigations.

Or having the voters set up a referendum to take it out of said Republican’s salaries as a garnishment…

Sure it won’t happen, but it would be so sweet.

Thank-you; fair enough.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

Imma be writing a letter to Bill Gates tomorrow. He is the one who’s name has been dragged through all sorts of mud and muck. I wonder if the other, lesser known Bill Gates might want to get in on the action. A whole bunch of ignorant folks think he’s the one who threw Arizona’s elections.

(That’s OK, though, they already hated him for putting mind control things in the vaccines.)

The Mango Maestro presents his thoughts on “nuclear warming”:

Donald Trump has claimed to be an environmentalist and warned against “nuclear warming” in an interview to Fox News host Tucker Carlson.

The former president, without giving any evidence to back up his claims, used the term “nuclear warming” and said it was the world’s biggest challenge – far greater than “global warming”…

Shirley he meant ‘nuclear warring’…

Sounds like somebody made a joke about nuclear winter in earshot and he took it seriously

I think a better headline for that article would be:

[Parody Headline]
Trump Says Global Warming Is Getting Worse:
Claims Rate Of Sea-Level Rise Has Increased 12000% in Six Months

From the article:

When I listen to people talk about global warming that the ocean will rise in the next 300 years by 1/8th of an inch and they talk about how this is our problem.

When only six months ago, in October of last year, he claimed:

“The world is going to be destroyed because the oceans are going to rise 1/100 of an inch within the next 300 years,” he had claimed…

Another choice quote from the article:

“And all it takes is one mad man and you’re going to have a problem, the likes of which the world has never seen.”

I think we have had a glimpse.

“It’s going to create more oceanfront property. That’s what it’s going to do.”

Global warming => higher sea levels => more ocean => more oceanfront property!

Somebody should bring him a baking pan with a rock in it, and water halfway up the rock. ‘OK, Donnie. Do you see where the water is on the rock? That’s all oceanfront property. Now let’s make the water rise.’ The person pours more water in, and the water climbs higher, shrinking the ‘shoreline’. Do you think Little Donnie Fail-Fail would get it? Probably not.

In other news…

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/legal-expert-doubts-trump-s-story-court-cops-don-t-cry-because-the-vast-majority-of-people-charged-are-guilty/ar-AA19LvTY

Former President Donald Trump told Tucker Carlson on Tuesday that when he went to the Manhattan courthouse last week, there were a lot of sobbing cops.

“Tears were pouring down,” Trump said about the officers working at the Manhattan jail.

On Tuesday night, a panel on MSNBC cast doubt on Trump’s story.

When the door opened for Trump to exit the booking office and go into his courtroom, MSNBC commentator Tristan Snell noted that no one was crying. MSNBC’s Lawrence O’Donnell remarked that no one even cared enough to hold the door open for Trump as he exited.

It would backfire on you. He’d realize that less waterfront property overall means it will be worth more per foot, and invest in buying mountaintop properties.

Poor overworked (and underpaid, I’m sure) trump lawyers ask to delay sexual assault trial so they can catch their breath from the indictment for falsifying porn star payments. How will they keep up when the other indictments start rolling in?

Trump is “rich” isn’t he? Let him hire extra lawyers to deal with multiple cases.

“I’m sorry judge, I committed too many crimes” really shouldn’t be rewarded as a legal strategy.

Oh, another delay tactic? I’m sure the judges love being treated like chumps by now

As I understand their arguments, it’s not the lawyers who need a break. They are concerned with the effect of the recent indictment news on the jury pool.

Tacopina said the pool of potential jurors will have the criminal charges “top of mind” when they are called due to intense media coverage and that could taint the jury pool.

Huh. I wonder if they know about the time that the Defendant was president?

“I’m too famous for being a criminal to get a fair trial” is also not a good look.

It’s a delaying tactic, absolutely. And it’s unlikely to be successful, unless the Judge wants to push it off for his or her own reasons. I’ve learned over the years that the best predictor about a motion to continue a trial is whether the judge has other plans or not. I once got a trial bumped so the Judge could go fishing in Alaska.

Court officers and police officers are trained — they just keep that all inside, whatever they are thinking.

Which is probably why we didn’t see them dancing, either.
