A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 2)

Must have been. It’s a shame there’s no monument, or placard.

Exactly!

Gaudi.

They’re not as wide as a bus, but I’m sure he’d enjoy using a sheep’s-foot roller.

He wasn’t thrown under a bus. He was run over by a trolley, and it was an accident. Now, he died because he looked like a beggar (he did not take care of himself physically) and might have been saved if people had promptly gone to his aid. But it’s a far cry from being “thrown under a bus”; he was not thrown and no bus was involved.

The etymology of the actual term is somewhat murky, but is generally believed to have originated in the UK in the late 70s/early 80s, as the first examples of its use in print were referencing British politics.

There doesn’t seem to be any actual literal example of a person thrown under a bus to inspire the idiom. People have been deliberately pushed in front of buses, trains, subways, and so on as examples of homicide, of course. But the idea of putting someone under a bus as an example of being self-serving doesn’t seem to have any literal antecedents as far as I can tell. It’s just a colorful form of imagery.

It’s probably more relatable to a modern Western audience than being thrown to the wolves from the troika.

Hmm Charlie’s grift is the kind I could get behind: pocketing Republican money; so they can’t give it to anyone that might actually affect the elections, and if I get a nice house and car, what’s the harm?

If only it didn’t require also putting out a fuckdumb podcast.

I just had to post this because it sounds so much like an ‘Onion’ headline it made me laugh. Rawstory may not be the pinnacle of excellence in journalism, but it’s a great source of trumpist shadenfreude.

The full title reads “Lauren Boebert seen crouching and smoking in Walmart parking lot after finalizing divorce”.

IIRC, they use a very hot electric oven. There are no flames involved but the high heat achieves a similar effect.

This was my favorite part.

Boebert can be seen squatting and smoking a cigarette after they finalized their 17-year union as husband and wife, the Daily Mail reported.

I’m just amused by the idea of a British tabloid sending people to stake out a Colorado Walmart parking lot.

Not directly related to the Mango Mussolini, but I thought this was very fine Schadenfreude for Tommy Tuberville. Why walk down aircraft boarding stairs when you can save time by sliding down!

He’s probably a bit sore after that. I wish it would knock some sense into him, but I am not holding my breath.

The question is: Will he stop giving Biden shit about stumbling when climbing a boarding stair?

Probably not.

I needed to see that this morning.

I haven’t seen a complete and total collapse like that since (Tuberville-coached) Auburn got beat by Alabama 36-0!

Despite his political failings, I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, especially one of his age (69) or older. I live in terror of that kind of fall, and the life-changing injuries that could result.

Yes, I am aware of the irony of his remarks about Biden. It doesn’t change my opinion.

I would much rather fall up the steps than down them like Tubbyville.

Tumblerville live in concert.

I’m sure he’s already thinking about who he can sue.
