A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 2)

Crackers & Krakens could work too, a sitcom featuring our Sidney and the mischievous seamonster twins that live in her hot tub.

I like Cheese and Krakens. Chesebro and Powell would be partners who run a pizza joint that is rumored to have a pedophile ring operating out of the basement. Whether or not it does is immaterial; it provides plenty of gossip to the regular patrons: Jenna Ellis, who always orders one kind of pizza, then changes her mind; Scott Hall, who always offers to “bail” Jenna’s unwanted pizza out at a discount; and Mark Meadows, who thinks they should just pack up the whole enterprise and move it to Washington DC. Hell, let’s add Jimmy Kimmel as the pizza delivery boy, since this definitely will need some talent to provide witty wisecracks.

Don’t forget the running gag with Trump making a cameo in every episode just to announce, “Pizza for everybody!”, then leaving without paying.

Would it be possible for a mod to kill this sitcom hijack or split it off to its own thread? I think it’s gone on way too long (and isn’t all that funny, either).

After pocketing all the cutlery . . . because no one can eat pizza without them.

It’s the Pit. It’s allowed. Much like the “you misspelled” meme, it won’t die.

The only way to stop it is peer pressure. And I agree, it really does seem to have gone on past its expiration date.

It’s cruel when one of my favorite threads has 30 new posts, and I dive in gleefully only to find a sitcom gag. Have a heart, people.

Sounds like a great catchphrase for our new sitcom.

Here’s a return to some good ol’ fashioned Schadenfreude-- the continuing soap opera story of the cat fight (in the sense of leopards eating each others’ faces, not in a sexist sense) between two of the nuttiest trumpsters in Congress.

The key money quote from the article is in the first sentence of the preview below, so you don’t have to bother clicking:

OMG, like, high school all over again.

Umm, Marge?

“Every accusation is a confession” isn’t supposed to be life advice.

Do we know the reason behind the split of these two lovely women? ()

I thought they were cut from the same cloth.

They (and others) are fighting to be the stupidest asshole in congress. The competition is rough. I think Marge has the lead over Boebert, but she had a head start.

Textbook psychological projection is like chapter one of the trumpist playbook.

No. OMG is not the initials of anyone in Congress. Yet. But I can hardly wait for that to happen.

This could go into the ‘stupid montherhumpers’ thread, but I’m posting it here because of the last line. Billionaire Peter Thiel gave $1.25 million to Trump and his campaign, but he’s not giving Trump any more money.

This stood out [emphasis mine]:

“There are a lot of things I got wrong,” he admitted to the magazine. “It was crazier than I thought. It was more dangerous than I thought. They couldn’t get the most basic pieces of the government to work. So that was — I think that part was maybe worse than even my low expectations.”

So he knew Trump was dangerous? Dangerous to the United States? He wanted Trump to ‘make the country work’… how? By circumventing norms and the Constitution? And he gave him money anyway? I know I’m reading too much into the statement, but it’s how I perceive his thought process.

And now for the Schadenfreude.

He said Trump called him earlier this year looking for $10 million…

Thiel turned him down, and told the Atlantic he heard later on that Trump had called him a “fucking scumbag.”

I love it every time Trump eats the face of someone who gave him money.

Debated about putting this here or the Evil thread.

Judge rules against GOP effort to overturn election results in Houston.

This is the part that caught MY eye.

His decision came months after a [two-week trial in August]in which no GOP voters came forward to testify they were unable to vote because of the problems.

No voter witnesses that claimed to be even inconvenienced and they STILL brought it to trial.

Judge to lawyers: “You get a disciplinary referral! And you get a disciplinary referral! And you…!”
