Yes, I suspect that most of the damage probably came from hitting other things on the way down and it probably just grazed the pole. I once witnessed an accident where a much smaller vehicle – just a small delivery van – flipped upside down and struck a utility pole. The pole snapped like a twig, throwing high-voltage wires sparking into the street. And I was on my motorcycle at the time!

I think the irritation is easily explained, in both those cases: none of his looks or actions are natural.
The invisible accordion! He really pumps that thing when he gets excited, like when he’s whining about his usual catalog of grievances. It’s hilarious when you mute the sound and imagine the furious tempo of accordion sounds.
