While racist attacks are beyond the pale, in this particular context - with Vance getting face-leopard-eaten by his own MAGAt base - I’ll let it be for what it is.
I’m a bit schadenfreudy about Twitter shitting the bed during the interview with Trumpy. Of course, the right is blaming the demoncrats for causing Elon’s beautiful site to break-down. Whatever. LOLs all around.
Someday Elon will figure out how to do a livestream from X. And someday Trump will find someone reputable to do another interview.
Tina Peters, the former clerk of Mesa County, Colo., was convicted on Monday of tampering with voting machines under her control in a failed attempt to prove that they had been used to rig the 2020 election against former President Donald J. Trump.
After nearly five hours of deliberations, a jury in Grand Junction found Ms. Peters guilty of seven criminal charges connected to her efforts to breach a machine manufactured by Dominion Voting Systems. The jury determined that Ms. Peters had helped an outsider gain unauthorized access to the machine in May 2021 and obtain information that was later made public at a conspiratorial event held to undermine trust in Mr. Trump’s defeat to Joseph R. Biden Jr.
Ms. Peters is set to be sentenced on Oct. 3 and could face multiple years in prison.
Interesting way of putting that, wasn’t it? I don’t think I’ve ever encountered that expression before. “Defeat to”? Why can’t they say “loss to” or “Joseph R. Bicen Jr.'s defeat of Trump”?
Not sure if this is intentional or not but it certainly seemed that way to me.
I have MSNBC on but the sound is muted because I generally hate commercials. However, a commercial caught my eye for some miracle cleaning product called Bull Shot. Yes, that is the actual name.
In the commercial they show this product in action, taking care of various stains caused by various spills. One such spill is depicted as being between the cushions of a couch.
I’m glad at least she got convicted for those shenanigans.
I seem to recall she was so batshit, she participated in at least one of Mike Lindell’s pitiful telethon things where he babbled for hours while promising tons of evidence he could never demonstrate.
ETA: I did find this:
It’s a “documentary” on Peters that Lindell produced.
A California man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, the second-longest sentence yet in hundreds of prosecutions of riot participants.
David Nicholas Dempsey pleaded guilty in January to two counts of assaulting police officers with a dangerous weapon, landing him a sentence only surpassed by Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio’s 22-year sentence, according to a report from the Guardian.
Prosecutors accused Dempsey of being one of the most violent members of the mob that stormed the Capitol in protest of Congress certifying the 2020 election for President Biden, detailing how the California native stomped the heads of police officers, struck officers with makeshift weapons, including a metal crutch, poles, pepper spray, and broken pieces of furniture.
Sounds likely, but why and how did Epstein’s plane end up with tanTrump, and not any other? Who gave it to him under which conditions and what does he expect in return? Or has that person used the bugs that Epstein had installed? Is that information an end and interesting enough in itself? He would lie even talking to his coke light, he would lie in his sleep, he would lie even with no one else present in the plane and kompromat is not in scarce supply. It’s probably rather corruption or blackmail, his plans are not convoluted or subtle.
The article sets out the rather roundabout route the plane’s ownership took. I don’t see how the Trump campaign could have deliberately ended up with that plane (which - to be clear - is not the “Lolita Express” one, which has been destroyed) nor why they would want to, so either this is just God’s little joke or there’s more to the story.
