This analysis assumes that Trump is a rational actor who sees the walls closing in and his avenues of escape disappearing and so jumps to the nearest exit in hopes of cutting his losses. This is not the way Trump thinks. Trump acts on the assumption that so long as he keeps fighting he will never lose and never suffer any major consequences. So far this assumption about the consequences has been correct, and as for the assumption about losing, that is what got him into this mess in the first palce. If (hopefully when) he actually has someone with power over him restrict his movements and actions by force, it will come as a huge shock.
The only way I can see him taking a plea deal is if prior to the trial he goes too far and a judges takes him into custody for a couple of days on contempt of court charges. At that point he will learn three very important lessons.
- His actions do actually have consequences.
- There is no vast army of followers who are coming to his rescue.
- Prison life is very very different from what he’s used to. If you tell the guards to get you a diet coke they just laugh at you.
Only then will it hit him that a plea deal is his best bet.

This is exactly how I see him, except I might change the word “assumption” to “delusion.” And when that delusion is shattered, it will break him.
Oh no, Jenna Ellis is crowdfunding her legal expenses! Probably because Trump isn’t paying for them. We’re gonna have some well-fed leopards this year.
It’s also alleged that Trump won’t pay because she’s backing DeSantis, a man with all of the tics of Homelander but none of the intelligence, charm or fashion sense.

At some point, the rubes are going to run out of money. There’s only so much grift to go around, and when they’re all dipping out of the same pool…
You’d hope that, wouldn’t you? But there doesn’t seem to be a limit. Trump got 74 million votes. If even a third of those people donate an average of $5 a month, that’s about $125 million per month to be grifted. That’s about a billion and half dollars per year. Lots of grift to go around.
I found the new talking point. Now the mob is saying that while Hunter Biden did coke that none of the Trumps have done coke. (!)
Now, I distinctly remember that after the first debate, people were calling Rump “Sniff” because of his ever-present post nasal drip. Also, for years the video rants released by his son Junior were spurring calls that he needed the Betty Ford Clinic. By any chance, does anyone remember or have kept links to reports or articles about Trump family drug use…?
Hunter never incited an insurrection. Hunter never obstructed justice. Hunter never hid national security documents. Everyone should be charged with the crimes they committed.
Trump has been accused of being a cocaine user, but I don’t think it ever got past the rumor level. Here is an article where Carrie Fisher, who has experience with the drug herself, once insisted that Trump must have been a cocaine user.
At the 2016 Presidential Candidate Debate Donald Trump argued loudly with the lady next to him, sipped water often, and could not seem to stop sniffing. Carrie Fisher, the author of Star Wars was asked by a fan, “Tell me something about that sniffle…coke head or no?” She responded by saying, “I’m an expert & ABSOLUTELY.”

That’s about the best I can come up with. It’s not more than a rumor.
Don Jr has explicitly denied drug use.
Also, I’m pretty sure no Biden has been convicted in a court of law for lying about raping a woman.
To be fair, neither has Trump. He was found liable, but you can’t be convicted in a civil trial.

The only thing I’ll believe about Trump is that he’s never had a drink.
I don’t think I’ve ever known anyone who has never had a drink or a pet. I’ve never known anyone who paints their face orange and wears a dead, blond ferret on their head, either.
The guy is a fucking weirdo.
I’ve certainly had a drink. Lots in fact.
But I’ve never had a pet that I had any hand in obtaining. As a kid my parents bought pets, ostensibly for us kids. But that wasn’t my doing, nor was I really consulted about it. I’ve never had one since, nor can I imagine myself wanting one.
One of the best people I know has never had a drink so far as I’m aware. And plenty of people don’t have pets. I’m sure you’ve met lots.
