A jury award on account of physical injury is typically tax free. Punitive damages are generally taxable.
Defamation would probably (Not a Tax Lawyer) be taxable.
Pee the Weeple.
So if she actually collects, in a way, Trump will finally be paying some taxes?
SO MUCH WINNING
the way I read it:
Trump will pay damages, she has to transfer part of that money to IRS, etc… Kindalike winning the lottery
Cuban Americans (Tarrio is of Afro-Cuban descent) are more often conservative than other Hispanic Americans, due to long-held anti-Castro/anti-communist sentiments. In Tarrio’s case, that may have reflexively led to other right-wing beliefs.
He clearly hasn’t learned - will never learn - to STFU.
That’s funny stuff!
I wonder if they will abide by their masturbation policies while in prison? I believe they can only jerk off within a few feet of a woman. Maybe they have added a new sub-section for prison guidelines? If not, that’s going to be a looonnnggg 22 years.
That sounds like it could get awkward.
In that ineffable, oh-so-collegiate way that is the way of the Face-Dissolving Leper Party, it looks like Mikey might be committing a bit of a boo-boo pissing off the base with all this woke stuff, here:
(expecting it to be paywalled; guess I got one of those “five free reads” things - apologies to those who weren’t as lucky)

The Republicans shot fiscal responsibility into the sun 40 years ago.
It’s funny that Pence is using high-falutin’ language addressing a college of political science. His clear intent is that none of the rubes who tried to string him up, or those who still favor those folks, will understand anything of what Pence just said.
He’s clearly signaling to the surviving rump of traditional Rs who’re now hiding under their covers hoping not to be found by the ravening MAGA horde, that if he was selected as the R nominee, things would return to pre-populist R-normal.
Methinks there’s nowhere near enough traditional Rs left in the Reactionary Wacko Traitor party for his gambit to succeed. But I’m pretty sure that’s what he’s doing.
And yet, he’d probably vote for Trump again if he’s nominated.
And stare awestruck into his eyes. Again.
Satan (R) would carry most, if not all of the states trump carried.
Even if everyone really knew this was the real biblical Satan, king of the underworld and avowed archenemy of god and all things good and nice. They don’t vote for the person, they just vote for the “(R)”.
In fairness I suppose I should admit that on any ballot for any office I pick only from the non-(R)s so I’m not much more open-minded than they. I’m considerably better justified morally, factually, and politically I think, but no more open-minded.
That’s a sad fact I have to admit to as of late. It does save time actually researching.
I will admit to the same voting behavior. However, I do not feel at all conflicted about it. I have never, in all my years of voting, liked or agreed the republican platform. Even when they actually had a platform and policies; I felt their goals were destructive. Even a decent upstanding republican believed in things that I think are antithetical to the needs of the majority of the people. Just sayin’
I’ll say. It would have been more cost-effective (and therefore more fiscally responsible) to shoot it out of the solar system entirely.
Well done, you. You’re not supposed to open-minded enough for your brain to fall out.

As this seems to be the Trump catchall …
What a nice headline:
