Yeah, it’s a well established pattern. Somebody sucks up to him hoping to profit somehow, they somehow irritate him and boom they’re out and often screwed over one way or another. But there’s always more would-be toadies who think they’ll be the exception. They just don’t learn.
Another forum I know during his last administration had a thread titled “The Trump Memorial Wall” for all the Trumpists that happened to; it was active the whole four years.
And somehow Trump’s fans never seem to figure out what a phenomenally shit judge of character that makes him, one way or the other.
Trump, and his supporters, have never got beyond reality-show-level evaluations of public figures. Anybody all all can be a rising star one minute and disgraced trash the next, depending on the ratings-obsessed whims of the show judges. The concept of cultivating genuinely competent and principled fellow public servants, with whom you can cooperate and negotiate to get some substantive things accomplished even on issues where you disagree, could not be more weird and unfamiliar to them if it had literally come from Mars.
Yes, she is special. Her mom had her tested. And since she is special, she mis-understood what that meant.

And since he rules by fear and fiat, it doesn’t matter nearly as much whether they can get anything done, they’re just an endless series of fallguys/gals to take the heat if someone doesn’t work out, Trump changes his mind, or if he feels extra petty that particular day.

Some of the idiots/bigots who voted for Trump are very slowly realizing the massive mistake they made.
But they cannot possibly admit they made a mistake. That is inconceivable.
So they’re struggling to find a way for them to disavow Trump without admitting they were idiots/bigots.
The way for them to do this is to twist their reality so the Trump is the one who changed. That somehow he is not doing exactly what everyone knew he would.
Mamdani is one step in that process. There will be more. But what is vitally important is that it is not their own fault for voting for Trump.
Admitting you’re wrong is tough for most people, but MAGAts are some additional baggage in that area. They’ve all seen what happens when a Republican disagrees with Trump let alone rejects him.
