A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 3)

Only in 3D.

Well played.

I don’t know how anyone can see things like this and think Trump isn’t suffering from dementia.

There is a 1 minute clip at the top of the article worth watching. Basically, Trump is in this big room filled with oil executives, top people for massive corporations, and he starts off with a stilted greeting read from a prepared speech, then stops to ramble on about how great it’s going to be to have a ballroom to sit in. Then he stands up, walks over to a window, and gazes out at a non-existent ballroom to talk about how beautiful it is. And gestures to the “door to the ballroom” that doesn’t exist.

After that weird moment, and nervous chuckling from executives who probably feel like crime bosses attending a meeting held by the Joker in a Batman comic wondering if they’re witnessing a madman breaking down in front of them, he seems to realize where he is and what he’s doing, and returns to them and admits, “Unusual time to look!” Making a weird “showman” hand gesture.

And he also seems to realize, oh shit, I’m on film and the media is going to have a field day with this, and tries to get ahead of it by saying, “If the fake news would like go back and take a look, you can, but you’ll see a very big foundation.” Followed by a lie about being “ahead of schedule and under budget”, which in Trump language means “extremely far behind schedule and way over budget”. You also hear a pained inhalation as he sits, which is another sign of dementia, as cognitive decline can interfere with the simple process of breathing and swallowing.

But I think you can see clearly that Trump’s mind is going in and out. His mind wandered to one of his favorite projects, the ballroom, and suddenly he remembers what he’s supposed to be doing and seems slightly embarrassed (I didn’t even know it was possible) and tries to cover it up. Non-delusional Trump supporters should be very alarmed by stuff like this.

Most of this article consists of screenshots. Basically, this guy voted for Trump, and can’t understand why he and his friends can’t just respect their differences. Someone replied that that might have been possible 20 years ago, but ‘That’s no longer the world we live in.’

It’s almost as if actions have consequences!

This MAGA fan is begging for advice after being cut off by their friends due to their Trump vote, and people are not exactly sympathetic

That is a very small demographic, however.

So are their hands.

There are two kinds of Trump supporters, in my view. The vast majority are those who Trump is using. These are the MAGA cult, the devoted follower, the toadies that work for him. They have their faith in him, or are kissing his ass to get a piece of the pie (like Noem, RFK Jr, Rubio, Vance).

Then there are the folks using Trump, like Stephen Miller, or the Project 2025 people. The ones that are pulling on Trump’s strings. He has been useful for them, but their tool is breaking down. This has got to be a concern for them.

So… Mr. Potato Head isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed?

Most of them are also delusional, just in different ways. If you eliminate all delusional people from consideration, you basically don’t even have a right wing anymore.

Denial of a reality that doesn’t fit their prejudices and desires has been core to the Right for as long as it’s existed, all the way back to when the term meant supporting the French aristocracy. All that changes is what reality is being denied; instead of denying that aristocrats aren’t innately superior to peasants, it’s denying that non-whites and women are just as human as white men. The content changes but the pattern remains the same.

Fair point.

In that same meeting, the following happened:

I would just point and laugh except HE’S RUNNING MY FUCKING COUNTRY.

:face_exhaling:

He’s not even the sharpest spoon in the drawer.

Well, to be fair to the man, ice cream scoops are not known for their sharpness… more for their ability to mimic Trump’s body shape.

The CEO of a Michigan company gloating that “We executed one of yours!” has been booted by the board of his company. I am not sure I could say that he learned anything, though. He feels that he and the board just have “different visions of America.” Seems the board’s vision involved not having a racist hateful asshole at the helm.

Non-paywalled link.

He actually had a lot more to say than, ‘We executed one of yours.’

“The storm is here … no one can stop what is coming,” Scott says in the footage before calling anti-ICE protesters “(expletive) terrorists” and urging others to join him. “Patriots get out here. We need the backup.”

“All you liberal, commie mother (expletive), keep your hands to yourself or you’re going to get hurt today, alright? We executed one of you yesterday,” he continued.

Scott, the founder and CEO of Harmony [:joy: ] Investment Group announced on LinkedIn that he and the Board had ‘different views of the future of America.’

You mis

Decent people have a differnet view as well. How do I email this asshole? I’ll look. The fucker better not have a golden parachute. Unless he’s kicked out of a plane with it.

To be fair, any of us would be aggravated to sit back down before our diaper got changed.

If I had to sit next to his diaper I’d probably want to stop breathing altogether.

Him first.
