A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 3)

To Trump’s benefit, an entire cabinet which will degrade themselves to wearing the wrong-sized shoes as to not irritate Grampy Diapers is, in no way, going to exercise the 25th amendment.

Yes, let’s all praise Stalin, um, I mean trump, for his manly dominance over his entire Politburo, uhh, I mean Cabinet. Truly a macho, macho man.

In the immortal words of Captain Edmund Blackadder, the Germans have no sense of humour, and in fact, they have no word for “fluffy”.

Flauschig.
It’s the Spaniards that have no word for fluffy.

“Flooring some flusheims!”

Paywalled. :frowning:

Esponjosa?

What are they suing him FOR?

They are “challenging the legality of those tariffs and seeking refunds for duties it says were unlawfully collected.”

That would be a question for @Fear_Itself . The article is paywalled, so I can’t read it.

EDIT:

So it’s not because Trump’s penis display made Florsheims look like clown shoes?

It wasn’t that long ago cabinet members were weraing pins with Trump’s face on them. While I expect cabinet members to have some loyality to the president, I do not expect them to be lickspittles.

They most certainly are, and with this demented old octogenarian wreck, there is a lot of spittle to lick.

Ewwwwww!

If Florsheim was paying tariffs, does that mean their shoes are not made in the U.S.? Trump is giving foreign-made shoes to his cabinet members; put that in a campaign ad.

Not necessarily, as any number of tools, components and materials could be from outside the US.

His MAGA supporters already buy goods made in China - including the US flags, red hats, etc. And publicizing the non-US origins of the crap products with Trump emblazoned on them has done nothing to shake their support in the slightest.

After all that, why would they suddenly care if his preferred mid-tier dress shoes are also made in China?

Somehow I doubt shoes remotely resemble the last straw for these folks. And it’s a longstanding US based company. There’s a lot of rationalizations they will no doubt use. As for fence-sitters, anybody dumb enough to be on the fence about Trump in 2026 is a lost cause. They’re impervious to logic and you should use a different tactic on them.

My dress shoes are made in Wisconsin.

Of course they’re made in foreign countries. All Florsheim shoes are imported, with the exception of one model manufactured exclusively for the US Postal Service . This should not be surprising; all of Trump’s merch is made overseas, mostly in China.

Come to think of it, my work shoes might be from Minnesota.

Rick Grenell next in line for under-the-bus duty.
