He’s got that dead worm in his brain to serve as an example to any other parasites that might want to enter his body. So he might be uniquely safe to go in such filthy water.
His grandkids on the other hand, that seems like abuse to me.
Swimming has been illegal in most of D.C.’s waterways since the 1970s, largely because of contamination from the district’s aging sewer system, though there have been recent efforts to roll back the five-decade prohibition and it is rarely enforced.
So it has been illegal for around 50 years but usually violations are ignored.
A reasonable amount of schadenfreude would involve RFK’s (but not his grandkids) getting horrible GI problems from swimming in sewage-tainted water that would keep him laid up and unable to do his job for weeks if not longer.
I did expert witnessing in a case or two for the US AG’s office and so have apparently ended up on their list of approved contractors. So when the AG’s office gets slapped by a federal court and told not to do something, they have to email all their contractors to warn us that we are all also not allowed to do said thing on their behalf -worded as if it was our idea and they are reining us in. . But I do get to read the the details of the slappage, and they don’t look good for the DOJ, regardless of how they try to spin it. The latest one tells us we are NOT ALLOWED to harass the Perkins Cole Law Firm, and the judge is mandating that we be provided a copy of his order to prove it. The order has PERMANENTLY ENJOINED in bold capitals throughout.
Is it wrong of me to root for the bacteria in this case? (not for the kids, I’m not that low), but a lovely infection right in the guts of RFK Jr. would be Schadenfreude served well-done…and runny…
Username checks out. If this were to come to pass, it’d be nice if the general public were to be notified and there be no question as to what caused it.
Have to or supposed to? The First Felonial Era was also the post-truth era. The Second Felonial Era, in which we are now suffering, is also the post-law era.
Legalities aside and bacteria aside…..I’ve never been to Rock Creek Park but I’ve been to large urban parks, and the idea of jumping into a creek and taking a swim is just clueless in a Beverly Hillbillies sort of way.
If saw someone doing that and there wasn’t a reality show filming, I’d assume they had mental issues, if I had children with me I’d discreetly hustle them away without being obvious because who knows when the crazy people might start doing something really crazy.
Ordered to by the judge, apparently. The email states “On May 2, 2025, U.S. District Court Judge Beryl Howell permanently enjoined the Executive Branch of the U.S. Government from implementing Executive Order 14230 and ordered the Attorney General and the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to provide you with a copy of the court’s order (attached hereto).”
Depends on what his job is. Arguably, his job is to prevent any science happening (and as much as possible, to discourage respect for science and the scientific community).
Him being unable to report to the office might impede his ability to do that,
