A Perfectly Reasonable Amount of Schadenfreude about Things Happening to Trump & His Enablers (Part 3)

Don’t forget this:

Taxpayers’ Tab For Trump’s Second-Term Golf Excursions Crosses $26 Million Mark
[ Mar 29, 2025, 09:38 AM EDT|Updated Apr 7, 2025]

WASHINGTON — American taxpayers have now spent more than $26 million in Donald Trump’s second term so the president can play golf at one of his own courses.

It is his 14th day at that course and 18th day on one of his courses since his Jan. 20 inauguration, meaning he has spent more than a quarter of his 69 days in office in his second term playing golf.

According to a HuffPost analysis based on a 2019 Government Accountability Office report, the total cost to date for Trump’s second-term golf outings is $26,127,531. The various expenses include moving his motorcade equipment and security personnel around as well as the immense cost of flying Air Force 1.

So that was three months in. At the rate he’s going, paying off Carroll will be cheaper than his golf tab by the end of his term, probably even with the interest accruing on the penalties.

I wonder how many of those dollars were paid to Trump-related business.

No doubt at inflated rates.

I must inform the Teeming Millions I am not glorifying in this woman’s suffering, nor am I celebrating her predicament. I’m sure if one feels so moved, one could search the SDMB for the entirety of my posts regarding the republicans’ and so-called conservatives’ stance on restricting or outright banning abortion, and other reproductive issues. What I am doing here is showing that, yes, an extreme position is extremely wrong.

Florida Repubiclan Congresswoman had an ectopic pregnancy She was initially denied abortion and she blamed that on the left, of course.

I wonder if she is truly unaware that her party in other states would still have banned her receiving that lifesaving care.

If she had been in Texas, Paxton would likely have filed criminal charges against either her or her doctor or both.

Also, designing abortion laws in a deliberately vague way in order to create the fear of criminal charges even where not explicitly set out is the entire MO of the Republicans. Hurting women (and hurting doctors who help women) is neither a bug nor a feature; it is the entire purpose.

Fuck. An ectopic pregnancy is NOT a pregnancy. It’s just not.

I won’t take pleasure in it, but she’ll have no “thoughts and prayers” from me either.

She’s already a walking talking contradiction. Today’s republicans are against DEI. Women are in political office only because of DEI.

I have no way of adequately describing this. Bizarre just doesn’t have the oomph for it. it also too pathetically like a little boy trying very hard to get his daddy to like him.

So instead of calling up one of his, oh, I don’t know, national security people, he’s asking posters to confirm intel?

Although, admitting he could be delusional is new.

Drat. I posted that in the wrong thread. But, hey, admitting he’s clueless is new.

Except, he fired his National Security people and replaced them with unqualified TV faces.

Another one bites the dust. Kenneth Chesebro disbarred.

And to help even the score, Trump fires three prosecutors who worked on Jan. 6 cases.

That’s Alexandra Petri, she used to be at the Washington Post before Bezos destroyed it.

Canadian who loved Trump dies in ICE custody.

I think all Trump does all day is look at the thousands of legal cases against him and get revenge. That’s it.

Dr. Phil’s company, Merit Street Media, is filing for bankruptcy. It doesn’t have anything to do with his support of Dear Larder, but I’m still pleased.

Wait, I thought Dr. Phil was a border patrol agent?
