Anybody want to get together the evening of 7/30? In downtown Seattle, maybe close to the ferries so I don’t get too lost, like around Pioneer Square?
That’s a vacation week for me, but I might be back in town that evening. Keep bumping the thread and see who you can collect.
Hope you can make it. We’ve sorta known each other for so long, a face to face would be nice.
Interesting . . . something got proposed for a weekend when the Ottlets are not scheduled to be in residence (at the moment—these things have a habit of changing). Anyone checked the weather report in Hell today?
No promises, but if something does get on the calendar I can certainly try to make it.
Standard Seattle-as-Hell joke weather report: Rain
To be honest, I’ve rarely seen it rain when I was in Seattle. I’ve been told the whole Seattle-as-rainforest thing was made up by the Chamber of Commerce to keep out Californians.
Depends on when you are here. You can pretty much count on not seeing the sun between, say, October and April but the summers here are pretty bright and sunny.
But the same can be said of the whole top half of the country. Admitedly, most of that doesn’t have Californian infestations to contend with and forestall, though.
Dropmom is over on the Hood Canal and the weather there is far warmer and dryer than in town. She still doesn’t have any real weather but it’s better.
Ker-bump!
Count me in!
I’d be up for it but Seattle’s a bit far for me to drive from Salem. Hope you have fun.
I’ll try to be there ( i know i know i suck and I always say that) but I really mean it.
Far? I think my brother has done that on a BICYCLE. At least he’s done the StP and Salem is just a couple mile more, right?
Anyway, as I’m leaving Saturday and will be incommunicado except for my cell (email me for the number) we should start finalizing plans. I haven’t been in Seattle in about eight or ten years so I know where’s a nice place that’s not too loud or too expensive and didn’t know my way around then. Also, I’ll be afoot so close to the ferries would be nice. Any suggestions?
