I am confused that they call it an assault when the creature was allready dead. Is there any evidence of such perverse perversions leading to other more illegal activity? Do people ever change from bestiality to rapist if left to their own devices?

The dog was within a few buildings of a day care, so I hope they weren’t exposed to that. He was having sex in public and the animal control officer was exposed so that little charge can be used.
The dog must have been blown up like a balloon waiting to pop with the smallest prick.

Well, I do recall reading that serial killers are prone to necrophila. As I understand it, they have such strong control/dominance issues that they either can’t or won’t have sex with a free, adult partner, so their “partner” has to be incapable of resistance; a corpse, a child, tied up; that sort of thing. While I see no reason to believe that all necrophiliacs are serial killers, there might be enough of a correlation to warrent keeping an eye on someone like that.
