A picture of what was our office in NYC

http://www.geocities.com/sqrlus/NYCoffice.html

It was directly across the street from WTC 1 from what our New York people said. Luckily everyone in that building got out safely though the building is now condemned and we don’t know if they will be rebuilding anything there. I suppose it would be nice to build a park over the WTC area as a remembrance of those who died.

Whoops, I mistyped, it was closest to WTC 7 which was the last to fall but also still very close to WTC 1.

I will be adding descriptions and more pictures later.

Glad u made it out.

Actually I live in DC and got the last train out that was probably under the Pentagon when it happened. We had a branch office in NYC. Luckily we have a pretty liberal work policy and allow employees to work from home when necessary so no one in our branch office is unemployed.

Doh, I also meant to say that our building wasn’t damaged that bad in comparison (obviously). We mostly lost windows and enough structural integrity to have it condemned.

There is something rather disturbing about the 2nd picture. Like things are at angles they aren’t supposed to be at.

You work for R.R. Donnelley? In printing?

I work for a Medical Publisher and we used to use one of RRD’s plants in Kentucky.

Glad you’re alright and still have a job.

Actually I am a federal employee. We had offices on the 12th floor of 75 Park Place Avenue and possibly others in the building as well.
