Makeup and glasses, which is how I usually face the world. (I have contacts, but I can’t see up close with them. So I save them for special occasions,when I don’t have to be particularly functional.)
You have increditly beautiful skin! You look terrific bare faced, though, I can see that the mascara makes your gigantic eyes stand out a bit more.
Your make up (or the camera angle) makes your boobs pop in the second photo.

Awww, thanks, that’s sweet. I think I look like a ghosty in the bare-faced. Plus I have rosacea and dark circles, but hey, I’m almost 43. I shouldn’t expect to look like a young 'un.

Considering the “3. buckeyes” was contrived as a jab at another poster, it’s inappropriate to use it outside the Pit. Please do not do this again.
Wow, so many compliments, I should have done this sooner! It’s nice to hear. I have a difficult time gauging what’s “normal.” So I’m often looking around at other women trying to figure out, “Do I look like that? Maybe I’m about her size?” So just hearing that I’m more or less normal-sized is really great. It’s one of the reasons I was determined to post those photos. Not fishing for compliments, just wanting to run my “look” up the flagpole.
Since I have lost a lot of weight - and am still trying to lose, I know how nice it is to hear. Which is one of the reasons I mentioned it. The other is - you are stunning. 
KnitWit, you look great no matter what your weight. And congrats on that, by the way…I’ve lost about 135 in the last year myself.

Actually, “buckeyes” has been used outside the Pit a number of times in the past several weeks (sometimes by me), and AFAIK no one has gotten slammed down for it before. I didn’t know this was a rule, and I’m pretty sure Hostile Dialect didn’t either.
I don’t like this, but here isn’t the place to discuss it. Oh well.

Flirting, flirted with, realization that I am flirting, analysis of my flirtatious technique, and other flirting-related topics; I’ve just never been able to do it.
Without getting into a bunch of stuff (in fact this hit me out of the blue and only tangentially reminded me that it *may *involve me–if it doesn’t, move along.) There was once a discussion where it came out that I expressed that the term “buckeyes” to refer to chocolate covered peanut butter balls [primarily in that thread where I was looking for a recipe] was rather gross to me for a variety of reasons [body parts+food tends to gross me out in general, regardless]. All hell rained down as a result and I think there was actually a pit thread or some discussion elsewhere. (I can’t help it–I’m squeamish and have a highly graphic sense of imagination.) Anyway, if that’s all it is, then let’s just move on because it’s really stupid and shouldn’t snag up the flow of a totally unrelated thread.
Mods: if this is indeed what you’re referring to, I hope I haven’t violated anything with my explanation. I’d also just like to say that references such as this really don’t register on my radar so you don’t need to intercede on my behalf if indeed that is what you were doing.
Now that OpalCat has given the OK, I eagerly await the official official ruling, if there is another one. In the meantime, I’ll assume that “3. Buckeyes” isn’t kosher.
Still, JMHO, I saw it as a new board meme to replace “3. Hi Opal!”, which could just as easily be considered harrassment of Opal anyway. And now that she’s given the thumbs-up, I’m wondering if this new meme will be allowed to take its rightful place. What say you, Skip?

Generally the only makeup I wear regularly is rouge. Mainly because I’m lazy, not because I have anything against makeup.
