I read the news: (George ~b) “Vows to End Tyranny.”
For a moment I allowed myself to imagine that it was an Enlightened George; a Statesman; a George Washington, pronouncing these Inspiring Words and Ideas.
Sorry, but George ~b is no George Washington. Something big is missing here. It is King George that holds the sway over this namesake.
I will bet it’s the smarts. ~b knows the Right Words, but there are gaps in his Understanding. The full meaning still eludes him.
[aside] That is the trouble with dynasties - too much inbreeding. [/aside]
I cannot see that ~b even understands (how can he possibly accept or secure?) the full extent of Our Founding Principles:
Rest assured, although ~b does not fully understand these principles, what he lacks in understanding he more than compensates with Belief.
~b believes in: Discrimination, Prohibition, Abuse of Prisoners. The Bible tells him so.
I hear that he even supports the secret disclaimers in the Pledge of Allegiance.
[/rant]
Please respond whether you consider yourself to be enlightened.
Please respond whether you consider ~b to be enlightened.
If you consider ~b to be enlightened,
Please support this extraordinary claim.
Remember:
The Tyranny of the Majority is still Tyranny.
Peace through Liberty.

Could well be true, if coherence is the touchstone. The Tighty Righty line is based on lies, bigotry and pious bullshit. But it certainly doesn’t lack coherence. Sanity, humanity, truth, yes…but not coherence.
rwjefferson, you might want to re-think your use of the word “Pharisees” to connote ignorance or craziness. It really has neither implication when used properly.
Otherwise, rant on if it makes you happy. Frankly, although I think “W” sucks eggs, I think this whole subject is both long-since beaten to death and pointless to puruse for the ka-zillionth time on this board.
