I don’t know who all the straight women who have had sex with other women are. I spent four years living in an all girls dorm, and the only girls who slept with other girls were lesbians or really and truly bi (as in they actually dated women, not experimented “just once”).

This was pretty much true even where I went to college, at an all-female school. I knew of only two cases of “just once” sexual experimentation. Otherwise girls who had sex with girls also dated other girls. I did know maybe four or five girls who only dated other girls while in college and (as far as I can tell from Facebook) have only dated guys since then, but all of them openly identified as bi in college.

I’ve always suspected that the number of women who have actually experimented with other girls is a much smaller number than the number of women who claim to have experimented with other girls.

I suspect many are counting something other than sex, maybe kissing or even just flirting, as “experimenting”.
