A post-Christmas MMP

The hell do they have polar bears on Coke cans?

Polar bears eat people.

Why not great white sharks?
Why not serial killers?

I cooked sketties for supper. Twas good with lots leftover. Now I am craving ice cream and don’t have the kind I like. I thought of running to the store but will just do without. I am also craving citrus fruit.

I hope to get an early start in the morning so I can leave irk early. I need to bathe the dog and figure out what clothes I’m taking on our whirlwind trip to Jawja. The forecast I looked at is for 30F on Firday night then lows in the 40’s and highs in the 60’s with rain forecast for Sunday when we head home. I have a heavy leather coat but do not own any gloves or scarves. I think there is a sock hat here. I will ask my clerks if anyone has any gloves I can borrow. I have boots. I will probably freeze to death.

Off to try for some sleep. Nighty nite.

You’re just noticing that now? :smack:
I am loading all my gear into my great (or so I thought) new camera bag. As big as it is, there isn’t room to have a place for everything unless I cram it all in, making it junky looking, with stuff on top of stuff. I do believe the next size up is “wheeled suitcase” or possibly even “steamer trunk”. I can’t believe I have that many video cams, mounts, & accessories. To be fair, I wouldn’t need all of the mounts & accessories at one time, but it would have been nice to have them in one bag so I could always pull out what I need w/o needing to swap & restock at home. Hmmm, back to the drawing board to see if I can reconfigure it tighter.

It just came to my attention when I was rubbing Mrs. Plant’s (v.3.0) back and I saw her can of Coke ™

You realize of course that I used to like you.
Seeing pajamas mentioned in another post ----- I complimented a coworker on her cool Batman pants and she got this sheepish look on her face. She then admitted that they were actually her pajama bottoms ----- she just forgot to do any laundry and didn’t want to risk good clothes at work. :smack:

Feel better! And welcome to the MMP, Head!

Ahem. Polar Bears are cute.

These guys make some interesting cases. I’m not sure if you could adapt any of them to your needs.

Good afternoon. I am feeling tired and grumpy. Not sure if the chemo has finally started to fry my ovaries and turn me into a peri-menopausal wreck, or if my husband is just an arsehole. Maybe both …

The OW has a cold and woke me up with her coughing; no harm and no foul — a little Dope will put me back to sleep. Especially any threads in “Elections”.

We gots us a real toad-soaker out there this morning! I hate driving in the rain in the dark - it’s a real challenge to see the lane lines. But I got here alive, so there’s that.

Our household is back to normal. Ziva left the bedroom, so we were able to lock the door to sleep last night. The morning routine was as always, well, except that I had a big load in the dishwasher to put away since I was too lazy to do it last night. Still, it’s all done.

So sad about Debbie Reynolds - I was afraid this would happen when I heard they had to take her to the hospital. How awful for that family. :frowning:

Meanwhile, we slog on. Happy Thursday.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 67 Amurrkin out and drizzly with a predicted high of 68 and rain. I have a feelin’ TWPTB may even get this one right. We shall have a cool down startin’ tonight with lows in the upper 30s and highs in the 50s over the next few days. Welcome to Jawja Butters! No big plans for the day. I will clean the collard greens I bought yestiddy and dindin shall be majik intartoobz pizza cause we both want pizza. I yanked a whole chikin outta da freezer to thaw out today cause I’m makin’ a chikin pot pie tomorrow.

Ok, I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then I suppose I should purtify somewhat. Bein’ all shaved and showered feels good even if’n I have no plans to leave da cave.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Closing shift tonight.

FCM, I only have damp toads here.

We were supposed to get about a foot of snow this afternoon into tomorrow, but the weatherpersons keep downgrading us. I had said to Co-Worker that I probably wouldn’t be in if there was that much snow, and was “officially” given the day off. I don’t know if I still have the day if we only get half the snow, so now I’m mildly annoyed for very little reason.

I also hit the “stop” instead of the “snooze” this morning, so there was much last-minute running around and I’m maybe not as squeaky clean as I should be. I think my hair looks presentable.

So, hopefully we’ll get a good snow-dump tonight, and I can stay home tomorrow and search for a new job from the comfort of my couch.

I wear them around the house; not outdoors. Haven’t advanced that far into geezerhood yet.

Well, probably save them for lawn mowing and other tasks that I won’t mind messing them up on.

Ms. Plant has a Coke can grafted to her back?

Blurf At irk waiting on coffee. I plan to skedaddle around 3pm as I have stuff to do.

Back at irk. Took yesterday off because I felt a migraine or sinus infection coming on. Thank goodness neither one materialized. I think I was exhausted and sick from eating so much crap over Christmas. Made roasted chicken legs and mushroom barley soup. Felt good to eat real fuds.

swampy, what is majickal intertoobs pizza?

I have a question about the second letter:

What kind of “legal troubles” would a person have where a State Trooper would need to accompany them everywhere? How would the logistics of that work?

It is Flytrap we’re talking about here.

You type something online ,and some dude magically shows up to give you the pizza your ordered.

Green, it must be for some sort of pre-trial witness protection.

I’m perky ----- now what happens? Oh yeah — work.

Lunch has been ingested. I don’t have any work, but I did tell my supplier that I’d need something after lunch - here’s hoping he’ll have something for me.

I suppose I could tidy and dust my desk.

Working between Christmas and New Years is always dull…
