I dissed you all over the place. At work I said you’re head was so big you had a callous on your forhead from where it dragged on the ground. At home I said you would bring the team down. In the Pit I said that the Knicks were going for bookends: Worst coach and worst GM.
You got us Lenny Wilkins. I take it all back.
P.S., I was gonna post this in the Pit, but it isn’t exactly a rant and Lynn scares the bejeezus outta me.
Quite right. it’s not a rant, so it will be much happier here. Probably live longer, too.
Lynn isn’t really that scary, though. Just play by the rules and offer her cat pix, and everything’s
.
Yeah, I was going to resurrect that thread when I heard about Lenny like I did after the Starbury trade, but decided that might make me look a little obsessed.
So the Knicks got a guy with more wins than anyone else in NBA coaching history, and more losses. OK.
Is it wrong to be rooting for the Knicks to not make the playoffs and then have Phoenix grab the #1 pick with the slot they got from the Knicks? I think that would be pretty funny to watch the NY media shriek and shriek, even though they all thought the Stephon trade was a great deal when it went down.
Good times in MSG.
Quick disclaimer: I came upon this thread after doing a “vanity search”
Anyway…even if Phoenix gets the #1 pick, I don’t think there are any highschoolers or college players out there right now that I would rank ahead of Marbury, except perhaps for Marbury’s own cousin, Sebastian Telfair. But he committed to Lousiville already so I doubt he’s going to enter the NBA draft.
I wouldn’t be entirely surprised if Isiah ends up replacing Lenny Wilkens as coach sometime during the summer, even if they do make the playoffs.
I have to say that if the Nets do end up moving to Brooklyn and selling out, I may have to become a Knicks fan. Ugh.
He’s coached the most games. If he DIDN’T have the most wins and still had the most losses, this would be a better complaint.
I don’t like the Knicks, but that trade is working out fine so far. He’s given them energy, which they needed, and he’s averaging about 18 points and 11 assists a game.
