A question about Iraqi Liberation

So when Iraq is fully liberated, what happens to the folks that were imprisoned by the former regime? Sure some of them are legitimate criminals…but I’m sure a lot were unjustly (at least by our standards) imprisoned.

Do they just open the prison doors and give everyone a fresh start?

My WAG would be that whatever new government is installed in Iraq would come up with a plan to evaluate people who claim to be wrongly imprisoned.
