A question for gay men (and another for everyone)

I’ve noticed that women have a tendency to swoon when they see or think of men in kilts (mmm… kilts). I was wondering if this is as common in gay men – so fellas, does a guy in a kilt make you drool?

More generally (everyone welcome to respond), what kind of outfit turns you on almost regardless of the person wearing it? For me, kilts are right up there, but so are lab coats (although a guy wearing both a kilt and lab coat might be too much ).

Thanks, guys!

There was a big kilt thing going on here in the Montreal gay community (can’t speak for other cities) around 1993-1994.

Personally, they do nothing for me, except the slight tittilation of knowing the guy’s bits and pieces are hanging loose underneath.

  • s.e.

Um… I find them quite sexy.

I like to see a man wearing a white cowboy shirt, tight-fitting jeans, and boots. hubba-hubba! (I’m a straight female)

Guy in a kilt?
About as sexy as bagpipe music.
In other words, NO.

Out of the kilt.
Yes.

Kilts: Hella good.

Lab coats: Mmmmmmmmm.

Trench coats, leather or not (but must billow just so): Nummy.

Tuxes: Gods. Ah yes.

And do I have to be the first to say it? Military uniforms. ::thud::

Kilts…oooohhh baby…

Tuxedos…yes, very nice…

Pink shirt and gray pants…I’m yours…

Personally, I go for alternative-looking guys, rather than the typical shaved, plucked & moisturized klub kid. I like my men to look like men, clothed or not.

(Sorry for the slight hijack. But I just can’t stand gay guys so in denial of puberty that they insist on removing every hair on their body. Ugh.)

Kilts? Eeeeeh, they’re okay. (Sorry, thinksnow and UncleBill.)

My personal favorite thing on a man is a military uniform.

Next would be jeans and a t-shirt, especially if the wearer is dirty and sweaty from doing work and manly man things all day.

Yeah, but then they’re skanky in the crotch region… (Unless you’re into that.)

Two different extremes here, A man in uniform or a man wearing the 80’s hair band rock and roll look.

Mmm, dominican habits. . .

(yes, I had a bizarre pavlovian reaction to a religious studies dept. profs’ photo in Dominican garb once. . . so sue me!)

Belly shirts, tight low-cut shorts (thank God that baggy look is falling out of fashion) with open toed sandals get me rubbernecking

Um, no.

Some would refer to that as Almond Joy.

Tuxes are great, but so are suits.

But guys, you have to wear a suit like you’d wear a pair of jeans and a tshirt. If you wear a suit like you never ever wear a suit, it’s wasted.

I’m with you on that-I think it has to do with watching that one movie with Gregory Peck, where he plays a priest…

Anyhoo, let’s see, I would say tuxedos-old fashioned looking tuxedos, from like, the early 1900s.
Military dress uniforms.
Kilts
And guys who dress like they lived in the 1920s-1940s. The loose pants, suspenders, with the shirtsleeves rolled up, tie loosened, longish hair (just hitting the ear lobes) slightly messed.

Note to self: start wearing my kilt whenever in presence of female dopers.

Also, whenever I’m feeling a little more formal, I love wearing the 40’s style Guinastasia mentioned. When feeling really formal, I love wearing double-breasted suits with my glasses so I can get that “Clark Kent” look going.

My preferences? I dig women in overalls; something about that playboyish tomboy look that’s so enticing. For rare occasions, I adore women in superhero costumes, or dare I dream it…in the Princess Leia slave bikini.

You have a kilt…oh my…glasses?

Forties style suits?

woooooh…

My husband looks hot in semi-tight jeans and a plain white T-shirt. Especially in summer when he has a tan.

Even better is without the shirt.

And a good suit doesn’t hurt either!
