I know there are several of you who have “questioned” Alex Trebek. Even a few five time champs (including Five Time Champ).
So I have a question: When you are writing your response on final jeopardy, can you hear the theme music playing in the studio? Or is it added in post-production?
You hear the theme music in the studio just as you do watching it, at the beginning of the show, during Final Jeopardy, and at the closing of the show. Also, the commercial breaks run just like they do as broadcast (except there are no commercials).
Yep. Everything is in real-time, and all of the sound effects (Johnny Gilbert’s announcing, the “ding” as the categories come up, etc.) are present in the studio.
