A question for X-Men readers

I stopped reading X-Men back during the whole “Operation: Zero Tolerance” thing. I got sick of the tie ins and cross overs, and the books were starting to stink, so I stopped. When I stopped, Rogue’s powers were that she couldn’t touch anyone without absorbing their psyche and (if applicable) super powers. She could fly, was super strong, and damn near invulnerable.

I glanced through a few issues of X-Treme X-Men, and she had fucking bone claws and was rubbing all up on Gambit with nothing bad happening.

What the FUCK did they do?

What, no one reads X-Men anymore?

Actually … no.

But really, from what I inderstand, is in those books, a few issues back, she and Remy were skewered and almost died together, and somehow lost all their powers. Something they are having to deal with now as they are pretty much normal people for the first time in their lives.

'Course, I’ve only really skimmed the last six months of these books, so a regular reader may be able to give you a better answer.

From the X-Men FAQ ( http://www.enteract.com/~katew/faqs/racmxFAQ/ )

How this fit’s in to being able to touch people without Bad Things happening, I couldn’t tell you. I could go off on a rant here about Chris Claremont, but I’ll spare you.

I never understood why that girl never got heavily into latex…

New X-Men is good.
