A quick cellphone question

Are cellphone plans still limited to a specific state?

I vaguely recall a friend saying it cost extra to use his phone out of state. He had to get a plan that included out of state use. This was many years ago.

I have a prepaid AT&T Go Phone. I buy refill minutes as needed.

So, if my phone is registered in Little Rock, AR will it work in Tenn or Missouri?

called AT&T and they said I was ok for out of state use. Although, I’m sure the calls cost more.

Call 'em again and ask how much extra it costs. It might be zero, or it might be 10 times what you expect. Unless you only use it for emergencies, that’s probably not a surprise you’d like to have.

good idea. I’ll call and check. thanks.
