Presents wrapped, house decorated.
There is a little bit of candy making still left.
Then it’s only the grocery shopping and the house cleaning.
Tell my again why I volunteered to host EVERYTHING this year? (ok, really I love it)
Party Wednesday, 10 houseguests for Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
It’s a good thing I’m in the north and can use the whole back yard as a giant walk in cooler/freezer.
Cookies to bake, a few more prezzies to get. A whole lot of wrapping to do. Major food shop to do. Table decorations to make. I’m busier than I want to be, considering I’ll be out all day on the 24th, but I think I can get it all done.
The tree went up three weeks ago. It’s a 3ft artificial one, and I made the ornaments and garland out of beads and paper stars. I also decorated my windows with lights and some Christmasy gel clings.
I only got presents for people I wanted to (close friend, the bf, and parents) and I’m not doing cards this year. Most gifts were purchased online and are still in transit, or will not be released (they’re DVDs) and sent until after Christmas, but everything that I have has been wrapped. They’ll be given out today or tomorrow.
All that’s not done is deciding what I’m doing with myself Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Sleeping in and watching my DVR’s accumulated programming sounds really nice. Maybe I’ll go see Sherlock Holmes.
When I started this thread, we hadn’t wrapped anything and I still had some baking I wanted to do. Now it’s the morning of Christmas Eve, and the only thing left to do really is tidy up the house, maybe do some light cleaning if there’s time. I think I can say we made it1
