A really hard "Name that Tune" Question (from a Friends promo)

Ok. This is a ridiculously stupid question. Please forgive me in advance.

Ok. There was a song that is played on the radio all the time. It seems more instrumental and light chanting than vocals. My wife seems to think it was the promo music for a Friends commercial this season dealing with Rachel’s pregnancy. It makes sense. It is the type of wuss music they’d play for a big decision or serious moment. Anyway, my mother heard it and wants to buy the album. She asked my and my wife to figure out title and artist. Here is the ridiculous part: I am now making an effort to hum it to you via a Message Board (Man, do I feel stupid). Ok, here goes. The first ever attempt to a identify a song based on typed humming:

(there are audible lyrics, but I don’t no what they are. Something about “you can” doing something.)

Here we go (man, why didn’t I just hum it to the guy at the music shop?)

Without further delay:

Da-Da-Da, Da-Duh, Da-Da-Duh
(the above was the “you can” as if were “you can say, sa-ay, anything” or some such nonsense)
Da-Duh, Da-Da-Duh
(this would be like a repeat of “sa-ay, anything”)

That’s all I got. If anyone can even pitch a few suggestion, I am sure I could hit a few music sites for a sample and determine if it is correct.
I am going to go kick my own ass now.

My guess is “Only Time” by Enya; NBC used that song in promos for Friends & Frasier, IIRC.

Said song is off her latest album, “a day without rain” (capitalization is hers, not mine).

Actually it was “Only Time” by Enya that I was thinking of. But I thank you for pushing me in the right direction!

OOPS! I though you had typed “the song was a day without rain.”! I apologize! YOU NAILED IT!
3waygeek is the WINNAH!
(Thanks!)

I am still impressed… I thought there was no way I would get an answer, and he nailed it in 4 minutes…
