I’m sure I’m not alone in thinking that an actual plan at the national level might be helpful. Well, here’s one.

It’s from American Enterprise Institute. I’m sure it’s not perfect, but it does seem like a reasonable approach. If nothing else, it ought to be a starting point in coming up with something at the national level that might work.

In each phase, the authors outline the steps that the federal government, working with the states and public-health and health care partners, should take to inform the response. This will take time, but planning for each phase should begin now so the infrastructure is in place when it is time to transition.
