The board has a search function, it took literally seconds to find those posts. They can all be found with one search. The funny thing was that I found them not because I was going for a gotcha, but because I was doing my due diligence before posting something.
With all the talk of bullying in these two threads (this one and the HBDC thread), I wanted to see if you or HBDC had taken a stance WRT bullying in an older thread about the subject. In any case, searching for that managed to pick up the baseball game version.
As for the due diligence, I wanted to make sure there wasn’t a divorce/remarried part that would have explained the lack of consistency between the two stories, but instead I found the Warren Zevon version.
I had no intention of posting anything when I found the first two, but finding a third version, that was not only different, but didn’t even mention any of the elements from the other two convinced me that you’re making stuff up.
Also, this is a fourth version:
Which is it? We’re you talking to her, online, about Warren Zevon or did she overhear you talking to your friends about Warren Zevon?
It has to be this:
I was chatting with a bunch of friends one day, and mentioned Zevon. My future wife was in earshot, and she perked up and said, “You like Warren Zevon??”
or this:
I met my wife online the first time. We chatted about Warren Zevon and a few other things… I subsequently went to a baseball game…
