In fairness, Israelis’ support for Israel is generally less unconditional and more nuanced than that of American and Canadian conservatives.
For the record:
@Sam_Stone , you’re free to be a worker-protectionist, pro-union believer in populist government but, if so, then you might want to reconsider which political leaning you purport to ascribe to.

Annnnd, another thread (the Hotel California one) has turned into the “Try To Educate Sam” classroom.
As one of my favorite thinkers put it:
Once again, a thread has been hijacked. It’s become about one poster.
Is NO ONE here able to ignore this character? Just let him be wrong all by himself!
(Thanks to everyone for this thread; it made me look up Sam’s “facts” before trusting them.)
Ann_Hedonia:
Sam, please go back to wherever you’ve been holed up for the past few months. You add nothing to this forum but an unpleasant stench, you turn every potential interesting thread into a circle jerk of Fox News talking points and the entire forum was like a million times better when you were gone. Please stay the fuck away from here .
Ann said this almost exactly a month ago, after Sam took a short break. It’s bite and veracity remains unchanged.
Once there ruled in the distant city of Wirani a king who was both
mighty and wise. And he was feared for his might and loved for
his wisdom.
Now, in the heart of that city was a well, whose water was cool and
crystalline, from which all the inhabitants drank, even the king
and his courtiers; for there was no other well.
One night when all were asleep, a witch entered the city, and poured
seven drops of strange liquid into the well, and said, “From this
hour he who drinks this water shall become mad.”
Next morning all the inhabitants, save the king and his lord
chamberlain, drank from the well and became mad, even as the witch
had foretold.
And during that day the people in the narrow streets and in the
market places did naught but whisper to one another, “The king is
mad. Our king and his lord chamberlain have lost their reason.
Surely we cannot be ruled by a mad king. We must dethrone him.”
That evening the king ordered a golden goblet to be filled from the
well. And when it was brought to him he drank deeply, and gave it
to his lord chamberlain to drink.
And there was great rejoicing in that distant city of Wirani,
because its king and its lord chamberlain had regained their reason.
Not sure I trust your judgment on who’s gone mad.
Fully agree. I hate going into a thread where Sam has posted because it always becomes the Sam thread. Often, I just stop reading them at that point since it is always just pointing out Sam’s obvious and repeated “errors” (I’m being generous in calling them errors).
Same, whenever I come back to the Twitter fuckup thread and there’s like 80 new posts since yesterday, it’s either Elon Musk did something really stupid or Sam Stone said something really stupid and clicking to find out which feels like the world’s most cursed roulette wheel.
In fairness, sometimes it’s both.
One often follows the other.
Dissonance:
Only insane people wouldn’t acknowledge you as the greatest supporter of Israel, over and above actual Israelis. How dare they disagree with your feelings about their state and government! Clearly, they’re not true Israelis.
If they’re not true Israelis, does that mean they are true Scotsmen?

Banned for socking. Another error on his part.
He didn’t have to be that way. But he chose to be.
Huh. Wonder what his sock was up to. ?
How will we get updates about Canada now?

And when the next one will turn up.
Absolutely nothing, lasted 21 hours.
The board’s hivemind lockstep culture forced him into socking!

I’m honestly surprised. I thought he’d troll forever. He was very good at it.
