Compared to the slaughter on the roads it is not great and WA has a huge coastline.
The risks are well known. But what an awful way to go.

Being eaten by one of those things, is in my top 3 nightmare list.

I’m sure being killed by us for their fins is high on their nightmare list too. And it happens far more often.
