I don’t get it. What’s up with the huge gap in opinions there? Is it because Chandra might be dead? And can’t defend herself?

I think it’s because Bill Clinton, like Reagan before him, has charisma and it doesn’t stick. Also part of it is Clinton was nationally elected, and people don’t want to admit they voted for a lying adulterous scumbag. Condit is locally elected, so everyone outside his district can condemn him without guilt.
