Hello Straight Dope, this is an unfortunately mundane first post for a long-time lurker, but since I haven’t been having much luck I thought I’d pose the question for you folks: I’m a big fan of Airsoft, which is basically Paintball in which the guns shoot tiny plastic pellets instead of paint. Several Japanese companies make some great Airsoft equipment, which is one reason I was quite excited when I moved to Japan.
Unfortunately, I haven’t had a lot of luck finding good shops: they either sell stuff for a very inflated price, or are closer to toystores and sell cheap airsoft guns that will break quite easily.
I was hoping to find a specific model, namely a Tokyo Marui Glock 18c AEP (or, barring that, a glock18c EBB). So I was wondering if anyone has had good luck finding reliable, halfway-reasonably priced airsoft shops around the Kyoto area? If I can’t find anything I’ll probably just go to Osaka next week, but something more local would be nice. ^^
