I love this song but I do not know the name:
Some thing about a garden, “I keep knocking, but no one answers…”
and then it goes into a statement of how they were friends (or something)
any way whats the name?
Thanx
Janx

That’s my favorite Elton John song. The name is “Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)” and it’s about John Lennon.
Look people, I don’t ask for much around here. So on those rare occasions when I actually know the answer to a question, could you just give me a chance to get in and LOOK intelligent once in a while? Would it kill you?
(I love this song, too. Much nicer, I thought, than George Harrison’s Lennon tribute.)
Do you mean Paul McCartney’s tribute Here Today? I don’t know if George wrote a song, did he?
Harrison’s Lennon song was called “All Those Years Ago.” You’ve heard it, it was in constant rotation for-flippin-ever. Did nothing for me, though.
Boy my face is red. I either forgot about the song or never made the connection–listening to it now, probably the former. The lyrics are nice, but it’s way too upbeat. THis is particulary nice. You had control of our smiles and our tears all those years ago.
Man, I’m way too emotional to be listening to these songs tonight…
