A-Team trailer - This could be the greatest movie of all time

It looks like a lot more fun than it has a right to look.

Or it could stink. Remember, one of the best trailers ever is for The Phantom Menace.

You mean BA lighting up the blowtorch? Yeah, that was great. I hope its what it looks like.

That was Face on the machine gun, right? He was always the goto guy for fancy shooting.

My dad loved that show even more than I, and combed his hair like George Peppard for a while. Sorta embarrassing, especially since he was more of a Great Plains Cary Grant.

Looks fun, but this is a movie that shouldn’t scream “B.C. Location!” louder than The Beachcombers. That’s gonna be distracting.

Yep. That was Bradley Cooper whose playing Face in the movie.

Also, for those aren’t aware, Murdock is being played by Sharlito Copley, who portrayed the lead, ‘Wickus’ in District 9 last year. I liked District 9 and he seems like a good actor so I’m hoping he can capture Dwight Schultz’s combination of insanity and control with the character. (Murdock wasn’t really crazy, it was just an act, at least that’s how I always saw it.) His casually informing the others of the fact that the right wing of their plane was on fire seemed to hit the perfect balance, so I’m optimistic. :stuck_out_tongue:

And BA is being played by MMA star Quinton Jackson. I’m holding out hope, but he’s the link that still gives me pause. Considering how important Mr. T was to the show’s success I hope he can pull it off.

I’m annoyed that Mr T isn’t playing BA Barackis He looks exactly the same as he did back in the day.

Schwing.

Ditto. I wanna have Bradley Cooper’s babies while he’s manning that machine gun. But without his shirt on. :stuck_out_tongue:

Cameos by the surviving cast members would be awesome.

Dirk Benedict and Dwight Schultz are confirmed as having cameos during shooting. Mr. T turned them down. :frowning:

So Melinda Culea wasn’t invited? Yet another slam against her.

I pity the fool.

Hard to judge much on a few seconds, but the bit with him asking the van if it had missed him made me feel a little better.

The one that has me most nervous is actually Liam Neeson. I like Neeson. I’m just not getting the Peppard-ian vibe from him. I’m sure he’ll be fine, though.

Only if they work in a time travel/alternate reality/reboot angle…

This does look a touch ballsier than Transformers or GI Joe, but then those were children’s cartoons. The A-Team was children’s live action. From the brief glimpses in the trailer - storming a building likely using tear gas (and mask) / shooting down a drone - it looks like they’ll stick with the flimsy no-kill premise. i’ll buy a ticket if they kill at least a few guys – and not Disney Deaths were the bad guy takes a morally convenient plunge to his death owing to his own action. Don’t need a huge body count, but just enough death to show consequences to actions - like shooting off thousands of rounds.

Oddly, I loved that they gave BA the mohawk (even if it wasn’t quite as awesome as Mr T’s), but thought that Murdock was dressed too much like the original.

I guess a badass with a mohawk is just a bit more timeless…

I’m not sure if I can get used to anyone other than George Peppard as Hannibal, and we never got enough of a look at Face to see if he really stands up to Benedict…

But, all told, this looks pretty good.

Would you accept George Clooney?

Will they be allowed to hit what they shoot at?

It has taken decades but I have come to the realization that the A-team is the towering pinnacle of all human civilization.

Looks like mindless fun - I’m there.

EVAR!!1111!! I think it is going to be a good old romp!

Thanks for the linkage.
