A Teddy Bear, a doll chair...

…and a Scrabble game and Uncle Scrooge is through for the year. Well, last year ex called me up Xmas morning and, sure enough, I had no plans, so I spent the day with her. Luckily a vendor had given me a little crate of cheese a few days before, so I had a present for her. She gave me cologne. Ah, well, I guess I’ll send her a card, and if I do that… OK, seven Xmas cards; I’ll knock that out tomorrow - I’ll probably just make’em on the machine @ the office. Cheap? Hell no! Hand-crafted.

That leaves nothing but what to bring to my partner’s place for Xmas eve dinner. I did a basket last year; I think I’ll do some good wine. Her hubby doesn’t really drink, and she tends toward light consumption, except on road trips, which leaves a bit for me - except - hubby’s mom’ll be there (a cerebral cajun gal) - OK, TWO bottles of good wine. I’ll knock that out after work next week.

Then the credit cards go back into cold storage and life continues.

Xmas.

Can be tough in the $$$ but for me it always seems hardest in the “something different” department - new ideas as the nieces and nephewS snf uncles grow older.

…it’s nephews and uncles… If I took up drinking, would my typing get better?
