A Thank You to Houston

I’m not from Louisiana or Mississippi or Alabama or even from the south. I’m a New Yorker. But I have to say Thank You to Houston for opening your city, your hearts and your facilities to the people devastated by Hurricane Katrina. It is no doubt going to be a terrific strain on the city and its resources as well as on the patience of its residents, however, your efforts have literally saved the lives of many of the people you are now harboring.

You are truly blessed.

Hear, hear!

(I’m proud to be from Houston right now)

I add a hearty thank you to Houston. It is a grand thing your city is doing.

I heard that as the buses were arriving and the word got out that there were not enough supplies and medical help; that within an hour the good people of Houston showed up in their own vehicles with Food & Water and Supplies and that many doctors headed over.

Your city is shining, be very Proud.
