At this point, being Rudy almost seems like a terrible punishment in itself.
Signing up to work on election day is a patriotic act. I am glad the plaintiffs in this case have seen a modicum of justice. But I am happiest about its deterrent value.
When cornered, conservatives will continue to make shit up. But scope for wrongdoing is narrowing. Profiteering companies wholly indifferent to truth which produce televised content will no longer make criminal accusations against other companies capable of suffering large monetary damages such as Dominion and Smartmatic. Individuals with a working sense of self-preservation won’t be able to fabricate criminal acts and accuse other individuals of it, even if their targets are of modest means.
Fox will still be able to smear private citizens and settle out of court. Their pockets are deep enough and they are not in the truth-telling business. But again the scope for wrongdoing narrows - 149 million dollars is more than a nuisance.
Heard on his radio program (link is RawStory – somebody has to listen to him, as long as it is not me),
if you did it for your country, whichever one that is, then you should move there
Rudy paid $24 to “Cricket Debt Counseling” to satisfy the requirement that individuals must take before they are eligible to file for bankruptcy protection.

With that kind of thrifty saving he’ll make his money back in no time.
If only he had shared that secret information with 60 different courts, he wouldn’t be in this situation now…
Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel.
Doubtless that helps explain all the flag waving, flag-themed clothes, etc.
Thread winner!
Yeah, very funny.
Rudy’s not had much luck with his high-class GoFundMe PAC.
My favorite part of the story may be:
Though the Giuliani PAC misspells Caryn Borland’s first name on their filing as “Garyn,”
At this point I think all Rudy related filings are being solely prepared by a drunk Guiliani ( father or son) hunting and pecking on a manual typewriter.
I am no fan of Rudy. I want to be clear about that. He deserves what he’s getting here.
That said, it’s pretty terrible how the people he went to bat for can’t seem to be arsed to throw him a bone.
Unless Trump really is broke (I acknowledge a real possibility) I think he owes Rudy something. And I don’t just mean unpaid legal bills.
I don’t have any morsel of sympathy for anyone who worked for the fucker, got stiffed and thrown under the bus, because anyone with half a brain cell should know that Trump stiffs everybody he does business with and never rewards loyalty.
You lie down with amoral sociopathic shitheads, you wake up with nothing.
AKA he never expected the leopards to eat his face.
Especially those who helped Trump screw people over.
Yeah, that was implied, everyone who ever does work for Trump should be clear that they work for one of the most amoral persons in the world and helps his case, even his janitor or his IT admin.
I may not have been clear. I wasn’t expressing any sympathy for Rudy.
Just a little surprise that there apparently really is no bottom to Trump’s scumminess. I’ve known some pretty shitty people, and even they had at least a couple of people they were good to.
“Even bad guys love their Mamas.” Except here, of course.
